I am not saying she is not guilty however she was undergoing FIVE days clinical treatment for depressive and postpartum depression. That's pretty serious treatment. As in maybe she should've be clinically in-house until better sort of treatment (aka committed to an asylum).
Now she killed her three kids. Strangled them.
However the only reason why she was able to do so was because her husband left her alone with the children for 30 odd minutes while he went to get pickup food. Not groceries. He was going to a resturant to pickup an order.
.
He could've used delivery, he could've used Ubereats / SkiptheDishes, he could've asked a relative or friend or neighbor, or even load the kids into the car & take them with him.
They died because of an entirely avoidable situation. Absolutely avoidable.
But his behavior strongly indicates he did not take his wife's situations / issues seriously and likely did not take the consulting / warnings of medical professionals seriously.
.
So who is more to blame.
The wife who probably should've been comitted rather than allowed by her kids
The husband who does not appear to have taken the problem/issues seriously or care.
.
I am asking because he has now taken to the media saying that he "forgives" her - the kids are not even in the ground. So did he even love his own children or did he not give a shit.

I think it is hard to be judgmental to that degree. Maybe the kids were crying from hunger and he saw it as an imperative to get food quickly as poss.
At some point he could not be present. That is he would have to sleep at a minimum. Go to work.
Whilst he would have to be aware of his wife's issues he was probably told postpartum depression was not uncommon. I am not convinced that he would have reason to think she might kill the children. The professionals who treated the wife presumably didn't see that coming either.
I haven't read or seen anything on this before so I'm not with it. Just my immediate take.
SkiptheDishes or UberEats is merely a few minutes longer than going for food yourself.
And yes postpartum depression is not uncommon, however, to be attending treatment for 5 days a week indicates that something was highly amiss.
I don't blame him entirely but I look at it his children are not even buried yet and he is saying forgive her. Yes forgiveness can come but at least have the respect for your children to wait.
I mean hypothically say your wife killed your kids would you be forgiving her 1-2 days after the last one died as he has?
I don't think I would ever forgive her or myself in failing to protect them. It is an appalling event.
she literally lives 3 cities over from where i live and it's been covered by local News and the story gets convoluted by each News source. from last I checked she is currently still in the hospital so I'm still unsure of what actually happened and was child protective services aware prior to this. I guess only time will tell
