Lasagna Bolognese with Bechamel and Mozzarella takes 1-2 hours + 1 hour in oven. It's lot of work but it's food for at least 12 portions, or 2 portions for my brother.

Baked meat manicotti.
I used to make it from scratch and it would take me all day!
My son was about 8 years old the first time I made it, and he asked me to leave him the recipe when I died.
Puerto Rican pernil has gotta be up there. Pernil, habichuelas, and arroz con gandules ALWAYS hits🇵🇷

Same cut of pork that you make carnitas from👍
Korean Kimchi takes a least a couple days to stew and ferment, typically in the ground.
I make homemade pizza, which blows away anything you can buy in or from a restaurant. I make it from the base up. Time-consuming but worth it.
Pizza and apple crumble. They take longer to prepare but it's so worth the wait... lol!
Chile verde, jambalaya, beans, smoked brisket, pork ribs (pronounced reeyibs if you’re from South Mississippi)
lasagna where you make the bolognese, bechamel and pasta are made from scratch.
Spaghetti with meat sauce. Just make plenty of extra sauce and put it into small containers and freeze them. then you will be able to have it 4 or 5 more times from only needing to warm it up and boil the noodles.
My homemade hamburgers. 1/2 pound of Hand ground sirloin steak. cooked to perfection over an open flame, sliced bacon over a bakery bulkie roll with crisp iceburg lettuce./
Bolognese sauce. Takes like 4 hours but it's effectively less than an hour of work and you get a lot of meals out of it and can also use some to make lasagna.
Hard one. I love slow cooked meat like rillons or shanks and a lamb shank slow cooked in red wine is hard to beat.
Hungarian Goulash.
cochinita pibil
we've done it from scratch too... it's a dish from the South of Mexico

For me, it’s a proper slow-cooked Japanese ramen from scratch 🍜
Making tonkotsu or miso ramen with a long-simmered broth, marinated eggs, chashu pork, and handmade noodles can easily take a full day. The depth of flavor in the broth, that silky richness and the aroma when everything comes together, feels incredibly rewarding. It tastes like time, care, and pure comfort.
