What is the best dish you can cook?

I make a mean pot of spaghetti sauce. I brown Italian sausage. Saute of large chunks of a couple of onions and lots of chopped garlic. I use Classico sauce and usually combine three different kinds. For example: Four cheese, Fire roasted tomato and garlic, Tomato and basil, or whatever I have. I add lots more herbs and spices, including red pepper flakes and a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. A shredded zucchini, lots of canned tomato halves, along with a lot of good red wine go in the pot.

I make my own chili from scratch using ground beef, chunks of chopped pork, kidney beans and roasted chilis. Lots of herbs spices. Even a touch of mole.

I make oxtail stew sometimes. The first time I made it, I served it in bowls over steamed, halved Brussels sprouts. My wife loved it that way, so it's the way I always do it now.

The family loves my pancakes.

Anyhow - I am more proud about my own ''creation'' of a fried rice dish.

I call it ''Nasi Goreng Mat Saleh'' :)

It has chicken cubes, chili pepper, ginger, basil, celery, cabbage, crushed peanuts, a generous amount of onions and garlic, some cucumber or eggplant. Seasoning is with my favourite soy sauce (Kikkoman), plus a dash of Worcestershire Sauce. And rice of course.

Sometimes I add a little curry.

Served with some lemon sprinkled over it, and fried eggs - sunny side up.

Without sounding like I'm bragging, I make an insanely awesome brown sugar & soy grilled salmon. As well as it has a sweet / salty balance, I also use smoked paprika which adds a bit of smokiness to the dish. I serve it paired with jasmine rice and whatever veggie I'm feeling at the time.

Not sure, I know a lot of people go for anything I bbq.

I barbecued an Ahi Tuna steak yesterday for lunch with three large scallops. I made a habanero curry/mango bbq sauce in my blender and lathered it on while it was grilling. Created a nice glaze - sweet with a bit of heat. I also steamed some rice and added some broccoli and water chestnuts for my side dish. Added a little soya sauce to the rice at the end.

Nothing spectacular, but it was pretty good.

Pretty used to making bolognese, so I'd say I'm pretty good with that. I do a good garlic mashed potatoes, chicken parmesan, lentil and beef stew.

Honestly I'm a pretty average cook and when I'm not following a recipe, it's really hot or miss. But recipes always end up coming out good for me.

spaghetti. i have teied a lot of ways, different ingredients different sauces until i found the best sauce for it. for mw using ground pork still taste the best. the spag taste more flavorful than the usual beef
