I’m general are women more agreeable than men. Why or why not?

Generally speaking, I believe there have been some studies on this where women tend to be (on average) more agreeable than men.


I suppose men just seem to be more aggressive and confrontational.


Perhaps it’s a combination of testosterone and also thousands of years of men being the ones to hunt wild animals for food and protect their women and children against hostile predators and human enemies.


That aggression and confrontational disposition can serve someone well if they find themselves in combative situations.


And, I suppose back in the day, women who were more compliant and cooperative were (in general) more appealing to men, and thus were wedded and bore children.


Just like back in the day, women probably found men who had strong leadership abilities and the ability to protect as desirable traits to find in men. Both of which call for aggression and confrontation in the right contexts (e. g. fighting off wild animals and confronting people that wish to do their family harm).


So, I believe it’s in our blood to have these tendencies.


But, just like a wolf can be bred into a friendly domestic pet over time, humans can lose these tendencies over time if these are no longer desirable traits to have in a romantic partner.


But, these traits still seem to be desirable.


Women still tend to prefer confident bad boys, alpha men, and men who can protect and provide well.


Men still tend to prefer women who are agreeable, kind, accommodating, and comforting.


Men and women are equal in worth and value and are should equally receive courtesy and respect.

But, men and women are wired differently.

There are biological differences that should not be ignored, but rather understood and appreciated.

There are some extremely nurturing and empathetic men that are amazing at comforting those in pain and dedicate their lives to helping and supporting others, like a mental health therapist who is passionate about helping his clients improve their lives and heal from their trauma. Much respect.

But, that’s is not the norm.

There are also very strong and aggressive and confrontational, yet high-achieving women. Female attorneys that are amazing at what they do, expertly dominating in the legal industry. Also, much respect.

But, again. That’s not the norm.

And for neither of these examples have to be the norm either.

I’d say, let people be who they authentically are, without judgment.

And let people be assessed as individuals and not be generalized so often.

I heard studies say "yes" but studies usually don't present a real life scenario in real time, person current mood etc so those studies usually aren't reliable.

In my personal experience, I personally believe if a person is decent and well behaved they tend to be agreeable in general vs a p. o. s of a person regardless of gender.

Not modern women, they enjoy drama and conflicts. Men are agreeable if you actually can offer anything of value.

Women will argue non stop until they get their own way. Or throw a tantrum and slanderous the other person. It is modern women that does this however. Blame feminism
