At 30 what do I need to earn to be ‘rich’?

Depends on a geographic location and what is your idea Rich...

My idea of Rich is financial security and the ability to maintain my lifestyle no matter what others or the market is doing at any given time. It's essentially having the means to control my own time and is independent of an income.

However, if you force me to take a salary, something like $360,000 a year, invested wisely, over a span of 20 years would be considered rich in my books; would roughly equate to 20-25 million.

I would consider "rich" to be at least a $5million net worth including real estate.

I used to think 100K would be enough but with inflation it is more like 150K or maybe 200K depending on where you live.
