This is a dangerous precedent for the left, because none of them are squeaky clean either. There's been this hands off approch to former presidents. Now, they're all fair game.

Is that a bad thing? I'm not a fan of Trump, but one thing he said that I agree with, is that far too many politicians choose when to follow the law. Where we go from here is debatable, but accountability irregardless of which side of this argument you stand, is what we all need more of within politics.

It's not a bad thing. I just find it amusing how so many fail to see the big picture. They open the door thinking it can't come back to bite them.

I think that's a problem for most people actually. Most people either act on impulse and choose to ignore the bigger picture, or simply have a tough time seeing it. That being said, If I were a politician, going after another politicians dirty laundry, Id take the necessary steps to clean up my rap sheet, which is undoubtedly what most politicians do. Some better than other apparently. Good point.

There is no loyalty on the left. They are, if anything, eager to see democrats go to jail for crimes, as long as it is for crimes they actually committed instead of political persecution from the right for the sake of "getting even."

I'm a little wary, to be honest. Of all the crimes this guy flaunted getting away with, this is the thing they go after him for? I've been suspicious of Bragg since he let Trump get away with massively overvaluing his properties. Now I'm concerned he will botch this prosecution on purpose just to give Trump some real tangible victimhood and a narrative of vindication for all future, far more serious, crimes he may be prosecuted for.

It's just another effort to "get Trump" and prevent him from running in 24. All they really want is a pic in handcuffs. The case is weak and the only reason he may not run again is if he choses not to or gets ill or dies.
