@msc545 Precedent refers to a court decision that is considered as authority for deciding subsequent cases involving identical or similar facts, or similar legal issues. Precedent is incorporated into the doctrine of stare decisis and requires courts to apply the law in the same manner to cases with the same facts.

@msc545 again bill clinton committed a crime in public lying under oath and got off. Obama ordered the execution of two US citizens without trial and got off. George Bush did exactly what Putin did in Ukraine and their was no ICC arrest warrant. By comparison the charges against Trump are tiny.

I don't think we will survive this one. Smart people are predicting a war with Russia. And that will lead to a war between China and Taiwan. And Israel is about to nuke Iran. America can't deal with all of that while the world sits back and watches. We need to get the hell out of Ukraine. Let Europe handle it. Russia has 6,000 nukes, and I doubt Biden knows that.

Trump offered to broker a peace treaty with Russia and Ukraine, about 5 months ago. Biden didn't want a peace deal and the Dems just go along with it. I heard Trump say that if he gets in office in 2025, he will end the war in 24 hours. The Dems will resist that. They would rather have mutual destruction than to give Trump any credit.
People think that Ukraine is winning, and they're not. Putin is just testing the world, and he now knows the world doesn't give a shit. I heard that he's going to send in half a million troops to annihilate Ukraine.

Within the ridiculous American laws, perhaps the Rittenhouse case was correctly decided. In any other country, taking a firearm to a place where there were hundreds of police to deal with the situation and then shooting people would be unacceptable. Even if you were afraid of being hit with a skateboard.

@goaded Kyle brought the gun and shot in selfdefense, but you are making a compelling argument for saying the people leftists thinks need guns to protect themself actually don't and should just let the cops take care of it. But my point with that comment was to illustrate an example where the corrupt justice system worked correctly.

Hm, would he have needed to "protect" himself if he hadn't gone to the riot? No. So did he intentionally put himself in a position where he might think he had to shoot someone? Yes. Were there hundreds of police close by? Yes.
It's not like he was a farm owner, 100 miles from the nearest police station, he decided to be a vigilante.

@msc545 I am being held prisoner by a government that does not represent my interests. A government that thinks the taxpayers should serve it instead of the other way around. We have foreign governments and illegal aliens that get the best treatment while taxpayers pay for it. We are all held hostage to rising prices and a failing supply chain. Our standard of living is being flushed down the toilet while Biden, Pelosi and the rest are raking in millions.

@goaded all I know is that when Trump was President I had optimism for the future. I thought I would be able to retire and I would not have to worry about what kind of country my kids and grandkids will have. Now I wonder if I will ever be able to retire and I see the struggles my kids are having and worry about my future grandkids and their inability to compete with the rest of the world because of a failing school system.

We had really good times under Trump. 5,000 people dying a day from a deadly pandemic whose severity Trump tried to hide so it wouldn't affect his re-election, locked in our houses, using rags to wipe cause no toilet paper, unemployment at its highest since the great depression, rioters trying to take over government buildings, all under Trump. Good times, man.

@goaded Biden gave in to them and continued the school lockdowns and weaponized the FBI against any parents that dared show up at a school committee meeting and ask about their policies. They are considered domestic terrorists. What we really need is school choice which Trump is a supporter of

@goaded Can you link us to an article that describes parents being arrested or even investigated by the FBI for attending a school committee meeting and asking about their policies? And by the way, the President of the United States doesn't decide whether a specific school continues or ends it lockdowns. That's a local matter combined with that state's dept. of Education.

@TheBigWhistle there is plenty of footage of parents eing dragged out of these meetings by the cops for voicing opposition for some of the CRT that is going on in school. There are documents from the FBI that calls opposing parents domestic terrorists. Google Sen James Lankfords website. There is a lot about this practice. Google "parents are domestic terrorists" you will find lots.

And if you believe everything an attention seeking partisan hack like Lankford says, you're as gullible as you are uninformed. If you listen to Lankford and his buddies Cruz and Hawley, Biden wants to take away your gas stoves, your hamburgers and your green M&M's cause they'll make your children gay. It was a big story in right-wing media and nowhere else because it was a lie.
Yes, people may have been thrown out of meetings or arrested, maybe even considered terrorists, but (and here's the part the right lie about) only if they'd made threats or carried out acts of violence; if they'd broken the law.

You think there wouldn't have been the same inflation under Trump, that we'd be the only country not having it? And it's nowhere near the highest we've ever had. Not even close.
