+1 yI wouldn't understand why most people who didn't vote for him last time would out of nowhere vote for him in 2024 because of his recent scandal. I thought he was a toxic individual from the beginning he first announced his presidency and since then he's just been spiraling down the hill of nonsensical conspiracy theories on social media and trying to overturn the 2020 election by violent means from his followers based on unproven accusations that it was stolen by democrats.
If he get's a landslide in 2024, I fear that American democracy would slowly get dismantled and that the GOP will be overtaken by MAGA christian cultists who probably wouldn't mind turning Trump into a dictator since the democrats are already labelled as the Devil worshippers and baby murderers who must be removed from power.
I wanna say that this is pure speculations but it doesn't sound like an absurd scenario to me anymore.

Also, the details of his crimes will come out in a way that even Republicans won't be able to ignore them.

There are polls or indications that Trump's poll numbers would increase if he is arrested. Almost certainly that is why the democrats have put inditing Trump on hold.
I don't if Trump will be elected. If nominated it may depend on the economy. If the economy keeps getting worse, Trump and most republicans will be elected.

+1 yThe American Electoral Authority or what ever it is called over there might go full retard and end up announcing that they will record everyone who votes for Trump then publish it all on a public record. It's like the western world is acting more like a dictatorship then a democracy these days.

@exitseven That's creepy. No kidding your country is in The shitter. Stop putting old rich mentally ill people in power.

That already happened and many people have lost their jobs. Volunteers work at the polling stations. When a voter checks in to pick up his/her ballot, the volunteer sees there is a big "D" or a big "R" (unless they're registered as an independent) next to the voter's name along with their home address.
I have a big "R" next to my name and during the last midterm election, a volunteer tried to take my ballot away from me. Someone had to intervene on my behalf, but it caused a ruckus and voters started stuffing their ballots in the machine as fast as they could. - +1 y
@TrueConfection I think Republicans are starting to smarten up and realize the days of voting on election day with paper ballots is over. They are planning on leveraging mail in ballots, ballot harvesting, early and late voting, same day registration and all the other methods that make elections less secure
- +1 y
@exitseven I have the feeling that using Dominion machines is not the best choice.
- +1 y
@TrueConfection It is really a shame about the corruption and lack of trust there is in the election process. I am worried that this time around it will be about who can print up the most fake ballots
- +1 y
@exitseven Fake ballots aren't needed with Dominion.
- +1 y
@exitseven I think the election process in western countries are just a smoke and mirrors show to try and convince conservatives that they still have a valid vote.
- +1 y
@findacure4wokeness That is becoming clear. I think the next election will determine if there is still a democratic process in this country.

+1 yNo one would vote for a criminal? Look what's in the White House, now!! Look at how many voted for Hitlery!! We also had LBJ, Nixon, two Bushes, Clinton and Soertoro!! Except for Reagan, Trump and possibly Carter, we've had nothing BUT crooks in command for the past 60 years!!
10 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Him being arrested wouldn't stop him from being re-elected. But if he was arrested and convicted through due process for something criminal or corrupt, that would most definitely void him of any chance to win re-election. It is both impossible and illegal for anyone to hold office with a criminal conviction.

No, it isn't. The only qualifications to be POTUS are in the Constitution
- +1 y
@LiamJHayden So I'm looking this up and apparently, yeah, there's nothing saying a convict can't be president. Odd. I always thought that was a law. But these Constitution experts are saying even if Trump could run with a conviction, winning re-election could still be difficult.
2.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. If he is arrested, it will show people that the deep state is truly out to suppress his voters and that will have unintended consequences like puncturing a high pressure canister of fuel does. Forget the election, it will be evidence that the country has been hijacked and people will start to wonder what can be done about that which is a bad place for the country to be.

+1 yno. its bad for trump. whats been proven in the past is that if trump is in the spotlight he loses.
he won against hillary because she was in the spotlight most of the time. but having him on the front page everyday with all the idiotic things that he says is bad for him. and in this case he's being charged for lying about doing something illegal BEFORE he became president.
trump is going to lose, and his legacy is destroyed.

+1 yPeople who falsely accuse him for rape and harassment should be arrested, not him. Trump is a misandrist men I know. When he elected he started to support and bring rights that are benefits to only women. I never seen him supporting mens rights. So I don't like him. But honestly I don't want him to be arrested. This would be bullshit. Because he is not a criminal.
00 ReplyHe'll surely lose at least a few of his supporters, but there are still many people who will always remain faithful to him. With that in mind, he might have a chance as he has some very loyal supporters
00 Reply11.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nope. They said any impeachment would make him win in a landslide. He was, twice, and lost in a landslide.

+1 yIt depends. If he is arrested on the lame attempt to make a "maybe" bookkeeping error over a non-disclosure agreement into a felony, that will backfire. If a real crime is found, it could hurt him.

00 Reply Nah. The goal is for him to win the Republican nomination and then get trounced by either a vegetable, a moron or a nobody in the general. Let's see what happens--should be entertaining!

+1 yHe'll always be popular amongst his hardcore supporters but I don't think he'll pull centrist voters like he did in 2016. He's running on cture war over policy which most of the general public really don't care about.
00 ReplyDepends on the crime (s) that he is charged with. He could be prevented from running. If a misdemeanor this will only strengthen his base and likely win in a landslide victory.

I'd point more to fact most normies don't want him after seeing what type of person he is in office he won the first election because those people didn't know how'd lead but after 4 years and seeing how he caused the Jan 6th incident most of his voters left hell even people he backs up these days loose their elections. Also u may want to add Saudi Arabia to your list as they fund the hell out of the right these days they did fund both parties for a time but now they are going all in to buy the Republican party
