Is this a scary looking assault rifle?

Yes, most guns look scary to me and I grew up around them. you could really shoot up a tree with that thing, hopefully that's all it ever does.
but you have a right to it and if your house gets invaded by a swarm as my relatives did not long ago, you are going to need about 5 more magazines.
A favorite tactic of mine is to practice shooting (making noise) around the house especially, and that is well advertised... so people may think twice.
Springfield M1-A. 7.62x51mm or.308 Winchester. Full power cartridge, semi-auto. Not an assault rifle.
I have wanted an M1 for so long though. Its a gorgeous gun.
The ones I've found by me go for 1500-1800$ though. I decided to spring for a Ruger SFAR in.308 which was a lot cheaper. Man, that thing is nice
Mine was $2,000 after taxes and transfer fees. I’ve since done several mods. It has extra power chrome silicone recoil and trigger springs, sadlack spring guide, Fulton chrome firing pin, scout sight rail removed and Fulton solid hand guard installed, XS tritium front sight, Fulton.025 rear close quarter battle sight. I’m not finished with it yet
No it's not black colored so it doesn't scare liberals lol
Anything black scares liberals🤣
@Sixgunsound except black humans 🤣
I have to assume that the reason the left makes life so much more difficult than it needs to be for black families is that they are terrified of the black family, which was at a time in the 20th century stronger as an institution than the white family in the US.
@Sixgunsound plus they have legal discrimination called affirmative action on their side

It doesn't have an extendable stock or a muzzle device or a 30 round 'clip', do no it's not a 'scawwy bwack wifle' by NYS definitions, though it is semi-auto so you would need special dispensation from Czarina Katerina to have it. If only the people who make gun laws knew what that thing is capable of in the right hands!
That's a rifle that has defensed the US through thick and thin.
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.
Nah, that stock is made of wood, so it's nowhere near as scary as the exact same thing dropped into a modern chassis system painted black...
This looks awfully suspicious. What's the length of that barrel?
How is it to shoot? Does muzzle go over the place?
I can't think of a weapon the looks scary. Some just look really efficient.
So I know nothing about guns but to me that looks like a regular hunting rifle.
What's the difference between a battle rifle and an assault rifle?
You're just taking the piss now.
Very scary powerful rifle what do you use for home protection?
No it is not, looks like a M14 , it would look more scary to a Viet Cong or NVA , being carried by a US Marine in Vietnam around 1965 -1968.
That's pretty badass.
Depends where it's aimed
Nice piece.
You mean rifle?
Are these considered assault rifles?
In some sense you could?
Apparently the M1A was created with the intent to replace the M1 Garand, M1 carbine, M3 Grease gun and the BAR.
But technically, and if I'm right, an assault rifle is a firearm that is capable of repeating fire, uses a detachable magazine and uses the intermediate cartriges.
M1A is semi auto, has a detachable mag and uses a full powered cartrige, .308 as the owner stated , 7.62x51 or 6.5mm.
So assault rifle it is lol
Oh, right. The sources.

I'm not salty like that, I believe you bro 😂
I just want to do my due diligence.
I respect that
Nope
