It's possible to live in rural America with two full workers earning a minimum wage. You can own a pretty nice house out in the sticks. The problem for most minimum wage workers is they choose to live in a broom closet in the cities where real estate prices are too high for a minimum wage job, and then they play the victim because they make an active choice to live in a shit hole city and then they vote democrat and beg for social welfare rather than just moving to a smaller town with less crime, less traffic, cleaner air, more green spaces, etc. because they have been programmed to be city slaves and they do what masta says.
For example check this house out. It's 1,469 sqft 3 bed/2 bath on 1 acre of land with an asking price of $188,000. It's clean inside and out. With 20% down even with the high interest rates at the moment, the mortgage payment would be roughly $989 per month. Florida minimum wage is $11 an hour at the moment and in September of this year it will rise to $12 an hour. Then minimum wage will rise $1 an hour per year until it hits $15 an hour in 2026. Two full time minimum wage workers today bring in $3,666 a month in combined household income. Thus they could qualify for a mortgage like that. 20 minutes away in Marianna, Florida there are a bunch chain stores, restaurants, gas stations, auto dealerships, etc.

All over the USA you will find small towns along interstate highways that have basic convinces. Americans travel by car quite a lot. They hop on and off the interstate in small places they never heard of for gas, a coffee, a meal, a hotel for the night, etc. which means there are small towns with minimum wage jobs all over. They generally have cheaper housing than the cities.
Here are job openings in that area at the moment. For example working at CVS which is a corner pharmacy a cashier job pays $15-$17.25 per hour even though minimum wage is $11 an hour.

In contrast if you made a choice to live in NYC because you were a hipster retard, you'd pay $1,800 a month to rent a broom closet in a building with no land rather than own your own full sized middle class home on an acre where you could safely raise children. There would be a city surrounding you where there is opportunity to do things if you actually had money to do them with, but you won't because more than half your income would go to just renting a claustrophobic excuse for a home that you'd never own and cost of living for everything else would be much higher.

For most people, working for minimum wage does not give them a living wage. Many states and cities have a higher minimum wage in place in some cases, more than double but workers still struggle to make ends meet.
Im planning to move US if i can get green card and im just thinking about the worst scenario actually. In my country, 47% of the working population makes minimum wage, i know this rate is much lower in other countries and we maybe can make more than the minimum. But i think if i prepare myself for the worst, i can get through everyting easly...
by the way sorry if my English is broken
It's alright. No need to apologise in future.
This tendency is only helpful if you're able to correctly predict what will happen in a certain situation and how it will make you feel. So please don't overthink
You're right. Thank you for the answer đŸ¥°
Just do your research and pick the right state. In the US, the federal minimum wage is shit. But each state sets their own minimum wage. In my state, you and your partner could pull down about $70,000 per year. You could live in a nice condo with a pool.
If you pick the wrong state, you will starve.
thanks for the answer! Which state do you live in?
no it's not meant to live on it's for starting out like teenagers or something. to live on a salary you have to have skills people will pay for

You will find it difficult to live off of minimum wage and often people in those situations have multiple jobs. Try to choose somewhere cheap to live if you move to the US
The federal minimum wage is 7/50 an hour. It is impossible to live on that. In many states it is twice that and maybe two people could live on that.
Working 40 hours a week, two partners would take home about $34,000 at $10 hour. They could eke by on that if they budgeted.
How else would the left encourage prostitution/sex for money (the 'experiences' economy)?
It won't be easy. Where are they, and what's the minimum wage?
No, it is impossible. The minimum wage in the USA is a joke.
can't be worse than turkey actually đŸ˜‚ i feel like if i survived in this country i can survive anywhere
No, it is not. But that’s not the point of a minimum wage.
Depends what you define as "living". Many people do.
Well, my define is being able to pay rent, eat "almost" healty and maybe saving a little bit?
no, those jobs are meant for high school kids. Lots of factories hiring that pay good money
Yes it is.
Not easily or well.
