You don't need a permit to hunt, you need a license as they only allow so many deer to be taken out each season. Otherwise they could be hunted to extinction like back east.
There is no need to limit magazine sizes, because honestly, one can use a hacksaw to cut off the bottom and tape two together. I've seen it... someone who is planning something crazy can easily do that. It will only affect law abiding citizens.

By the way, the only time do you have to wear a hunter orange is if you were modern day hunting if you’re bow hunting or black powder, you do not have to wear a hunter orange. For the most part regulation is terrible, and should not exist. I understand the need for some regulation, even though I disagree with it. For example, I would honestly probably put a stop to Chinook salmon, fishing for everyone, including Native Americans for 2 to 4 years, so that we can regrow the population, there are multiple animals that rely on the chinook salmon from otters seals, raccoons bears humans I think even cougars will hunt for salmon from time to time. This doesn’t mean the policy should actually be implemented.

You realize you don't have to shoot and kill someone every time you use a gun in self-defense, right? Often just brandishing is enough. That's why it's difficult to put an exact figure on how many self-defense uses of firearms happen every year and estimates vary from 100,000 on the low end to 3,000,000 on the high end. Because A) If nothing happened, there's no need to report it. B) Unlike a homicide, a self-defense use is saving lives. There are no bodies to count, so maybe they saved just their own life, but maybe they stopped a spree killer and saved many lives.

It is not easy to obtain firearms. I recently went through the process. It may be easier to obtain farearms illegally. Nobody ever talks about this. Make possession of an unregistered firearm a felony with a year in jail a mandatory sentence and then you will see a drop in these shootings
@OddBeMe yes, the gun shows need to follow the same laws as gun shops do. I am all for owning guns but there has to be accountability. This loophole should be closed and people who sell guns on the black market should be put in prison for a long time.

When the 1968 Gun Control Act was passed into law it specifically applied only to people in the business of selling firearms. If someone was offering to sell to you without paperwork it's because they were a private seller selling from their own personal collection. Any person to person sales were never the intended target of the 1968 GCA, it has nothing to do with gun shows. That is a fear-mongering tactic used by gun grabbers to make people think that gun retailers are somehow going through a loophole to sell guns without background checks.

Private sellers were never regulated to begin with. The 1968 GCA specifically applied to firearm businesses. It was never intended to address people occasionally reselling a couple firearms from their own personal collection. There is no ambiguity or little legal misstep that people are using to get around the 1968 GCA. No such loophole exists. The law was specifically addressed to firearm businesses and not to private resellers.
