sometimes, I look for "good news" which is not available on regular media. But most all news is about "bad" things, spun to an audience for that theme.
I scan media sites that conflict with my current views to see what they are saying and how they say it in mainstream media... cnn, msnbc. it's hard to stomach honestly as their themes bother me more.. everything on their page is bent a certain way. but there' sometimes valid viewpoints. fox is more palatable in their general themes, but has their share of bs, but generally to me, makes more sense. associated press... more fair. I go to other sources.
I'm sure I coiuld find some better sources than these. I will look for conflict, but that requires searching harder because the search engines... feed us what we already approved of.
Understanding anything anymore is like looking through haze with poor lighting.
I should go to economic times, wall street journal and such sometime and find some better sources.
Life probably be better without all this crap.
No. I do follow news outlets that agree with my political views in general, but that's mostly because one of those views is that the media shouldn't be lying to you.
Fox "News" just paid nearly $800,000,000 in order that their on-air "talent" wouldn't have to admit under oath what they were saying in private, including that the election wasn't stolen and Trump was a disaster as president.

I don't think most people seek out news that makes them feel better. In fact, I think it is the opposite: People seek out news that shocks them, and usually that takes the form of bad news or provocative political punditry.
What I think FOX News does is create a siege mentality where it's "YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT THE WOKE MOB JUST DID!" all the time, so they program their viewers to become these hair trigger neurotics who see trans phantoms everywhere.
Sure. If they bring up talking about the wicked witch instead of dumb boring idiot things. Fanstatic 😁😬

Sometimes like this one that happened a few years ago
https://youtu.be/bj7mDxZo5p8I don't have time for news anymore, so news tends to search for me.
No, but I do enjoy fiction so I tend to tune into to CNN or MSNBC.
By educated do you mean indoctrinated? The answer is yes.
i don't consume the news. it's not "news" anyway. 99% missinformation and propaganda. not worth my time.
News is mostly bullshit and what isn’t I probably don’t care about. If it’s important someone will tell me
I watch the Spanish Language news. They report more news and accurate statistics than the English Language ones. Tellin' u as a Mexican-American. A Black-American Man, had told Me vice versa.
OMG, this is fucking hilarious!
Pick up a mirror dude.
I don't look for TV news... lol
Absolutely. I LOVE feel good stories. 😌
Yes, but it is few and far between these days.
Who the hell watches cable news?
The news NEVER makes me feel better.
