Why are conservatives against the ending of title 42?

I’m a conservative I voted for trump twice I think refugees should remain in Mexico, or seek refuge in the first country to come to.

but I find it intellectually inconsistent to say the pandemic is over, but title 42 to what was meant so that we could turn away people who had Covid from our southern border. Last time I checked damage was over we were arguing back in March 2021 that the pandemic was over..

you cannot have it both ways either the pandemic is still going on in which case title 42 should remain in place or we’re not in a pandemic and title, 42 has to end. This is called being intellectually inconsistent.

Yeah, Ok. But not a damn thing done by the government was consistent in regard to covid. And since there's zero border enforcement outside of title 42, it's the only thing we have. We're still (at least till the 12th) requiring vaccination for covid to enter the US as a tourist, also.

Very true you had Gavin Newson going to the French Landry, Lori, Lightfoot, getting a haircut when Chicago residents were not allowed to etc. but aren’t we the party of consistency? I could use the democrats logic against them all day long this is the only thing I found on the republican side which isn’t consistent.

they should propose other legislation if they have an issue. I think they are noting the problem that releasing this is going to cause.

The CDC miraculously declared it is over. Masks will no longer be required at the doctor's office which was just about the last place to require them.

They are predicting that immigration will be a voting issue next year and want to strategically blame the president by choosing this tactic.

It’s going to be either way. Even independents aren’t for unfettered illegal immigration. There so much more then get Biden on I my opinion. The boarder was one of them. Obviously the line “it’s the economy stupid” didn’t work.

There are many things to attack on both sides. You asked about immigration so that’s why I mentioned it here. When attacked on it biden will claim trump couldn’t solve it either and failed on the wall
