Should Title 42 be continued or repealed?

Title 42 has to do with expelling illegal immigrants. Right now around 200,000 illegal immigrants stream into the US every month. Among them are gang members, drug dealers, sex traffickers, and possible terrorists. Plus who is going to give all these millions jobs, or where is the money coming from to school all these children and give them decent medical care? In case it escaped you we have tons of homeless and elderly who are not getting the proper medical care but no one takes care of them because they are not getting freebies on the government like illegal immigrants get. Biden created this mess by stopping expulsions, and allowing immigrants to come into the US instead of staying in Mexico until their cases are heard. Right now over a million are pouring into out country and we don't even know who they are or what their plans are. If you have seen the videos they come in with no possessions instead of a few items like clothing. Some don't even have shoes and just wear sandals. They have no food or water, and no prospects of jobs unless they are gang members or drug dealers. Biden's Folly is what it should be called. What are your thoughts?

Also it's weird these border "crises" only seem to effect Republican states in election years. New Mexico's border, for example, seems to be doing just fine. One would think it obvious they are a political ploy before the midterms. Billions of dollars later, it is not clear they have accomplished anything. Most recently, with Operation Lone Star in 2021, Texas governor Greg Abbott deployed more than 10,000 members of the Texas National Guard and state troopers to the border, as a cost of about $25 million a week for the troopers and $2 billion a year for the National Guard members. That’s almost five times what the legislature had budgeted. While the administration has claimed success, an investigation by ProPublica, the Texas Tribune, and the Marshall Project suggests that it is taking credit for arrests that had nothing to do with border issues and were often handled by law enforcement officers unconnected with Operation Lone Star. Most arrests are not of human traffickers or smugglers, but of people accused of trespassing on private property. And so, it appears, messaging for the midterms is in full swing.

You can't watch videos of the thousands of migrants crossing the river, in any way they can, and not see there is a problem. The Texas Governor has little to do with it except misappropriating money if he is getting $billions and there is no change in the people migrating. Where is that money REALLY going? Biden is the one to blame for this fiasco. Also the Covid thing was baloney. They were shipping migrants all over the US with no worry about Covid testing or vaccinations of migrants before shipping them out. That seems like they are actually trying to spread Covid while talking about Covid problems and how to stop them - give us more money for it - out of the other side of their yap.

Indeed, half the messaging from right wing politicians is to get their base to mock the very idea of a government that does it's job properly. Great job of twisting what Title 42 REALLY is.
It is the United States Code dealing with public health, social welfare, and civil rights. Currently, it sometimes specifically denotes 42 U. S. C. § 252, which prohibits entry into the United States if the director of the Center for Disease Control believes entry could introduce communicable disease into the US. You should notice that the term "illegal" is not in there at all. This section was activated in March 2020 to turn away asylum seekers at US borders because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
There are laws in place that allow people without funds to obtain emergency medical care. Hospitals use part of their profits to cover the care of those needing emergency care but have no funds. That is available to anybody, not just immigrants. Citizens use this quite often. They are getting those "freebies" just like immigrants, but that does not spark the antagonism against immigrants (legal as well as illegal) that you apparently are trying to fire up!

Anyone can come into the country, but there is a PROCESS. If someone isn't willing to or able to go through it, we should have no business with them in our country. in my opinion, anyone who is here illegally should be deported back to their home country immediately and have to go through the process like everyone else. That way we make sure they are not bad people and are willing to adapt to our customs and laws. Some people may say "oh but what about asylum seekers." To that I say, Donald Trumps' Remain in Mexico policy was the solution. Basically if someone needs to seek asylum, they must do so in the first country that offers it to them. They don't get to pick and choose where they want to live. If it's truly a matter of life and death, its no time to be picking and choosing where you want to end up

Look we have to have some kind of requirements to come over here. We also have to do a better job with how we choose to involve our selfs in other governments affairs. If things weren't so bad where they were there would be no reason to want to come over. Have you seen some of the beaches in Mexico? They have some beautiful places that I pay good money to visit. We spend billions of dollars chasing weapons of mass destruction that we don't find. I wonder what all the money we spent on wars recently would have done to maybe invest on our neighbors to help make it a better place to live. We left billions worth of military hardware in Afghanistan. I hate to say it but I was in the millitary and I can say without a doubt during my time I was witness to some of that waste.

However that is not our fault. And it doesn't mean we should also take all their people here in the US. I'm already sick of high inflation, high taxes, high gas prices, high food prices. And mean while our government spends like crazy and keeps raising the National Debt, but none to take care of our own homeless, vets, and our elderly. I agree with what you say I'm just saying what we are doing and the path we are going down is not going to work. It's a simplistic view that one way to keep them there would be if the wasn't such an incentive to come here. So we either take away the incentives and they come over undocumented and we have no clue who is here and that's what went on in the past. Or we open the flood gates not feeling that. Either way we are going to come out of pocket. I don't have a solution and haven't heard of one that makes sense and is cost effective.

You also didn't watch the video in which the border agents say this is going on every day of the year. You are not concerned about possible terrorists waltzing across the border with a literal invitation from Biden, because you had you head in the sand on 9/11. Since it is Biden's people counting the illegals I imagine it is at least 2 million that were counted and another million that got past the Border Patrol. I imagine the total is more like 20 billion. This will be a recurring expense year after year. I think that people over 65 should get a discount on their property taxes with this money instead of giving it away to freeloader who never paid a dime in taxes in this country.

While the mild weather in California makes it easier for the homeless they are just multiplying and things are not getting any better from what I have seen.
