The Senate should be abolished. IDGAF how they get there it's a horrific institution as a sop to small states that outlived it's usefulness in 1789!

Better yet: Parliamentary democratic republic w/ ranked choice voting & public campaign finance.

The original Constitution had state legislatures voting for their senators, th Founding Fathers believing that the general populace couldn't be trusted. The 17th amendment changed that, allowing for each state's citizens to vote for their senators, which is a more democratic process.

There is no reason to repeal it.

The Founding Fathers We're not around in 1913 when the amendment was ratified. Some in either party believe that the original design preserved the interests of the states better. My opinion is ambiguous.
