Where tf do people get this idea? Conservatives are overwhelmingly for LESS government and LESS rules and interference, but strong consequences crossing the line.
Equality of opportunity does not equality of outcome; I think the fundamental difference between conservatives and liberals is we see big government as the obstacle to success whereas you for some reason you see it as the route to success

As a liberal, I can tell you that we do not see non-regulation as a recipe for success, since left to their own devices, conservatives and capitalists in general cannot be trusted to not cheat other people. fact of the matter is, it does require a minority to be in charge given the majority that are currently hell bent on destroying the minority

just look at the attitude of feminism (the majority) towards anti-feminism (the minority) or look at the pro-abortion (the majority) towards the pro-life (the minority)

one is founded upon Marxist academia, media, government and intelligence agencies and the other is completely grassroots calling out the truth
