If someone gets caught with drugs and that’s his only crime, should he be arrested?

If its weed and personal use who cares. If its a massive amount sure.

All other drugs yes arrest & if their addicts placed into special camps in the countryside where they go clean. They’ll be forced to work & be trained so they can return to normal society.

Failure to comply and complete retraining would be execution.

I always thought it was stupid to punish people for possession and using. I feel as long as they aren't hurting anyone, it shouldn't be the governments business what they do with their lives. But at the same time, these people shouldn't be on the streets, they should be in special clinics. But they certainly shouldn't be in jail. They should go after the dealers

Risk vs gain. If someone does anything that is a crime there is an expectation that there may be consequences.

Now should drugs be legalized, I think so, but to intentionally break the law...

If he OD's and has to be rushed to the emergency room, he'll receive treatment- which, if he's broke and uninsured, the taxpayers will have to cover.

If a drug is addtive, then either he or the person he is selling it to doesn't nessarly have the power to make the decision anymore. Such drugs hyjack your brain, they are either controlled by others not on them or the drug controls you.
