Why do you feel that people who do not follow your politics and ideals are stupid?

I wouldn't say stupid, most people are thinking, pulling data, etc.. they see the issue different... in my opinion... emotionally. They have an emotional bias within, that is supported by their media inputs and support. If ya go looking to proove you are right, you'll generally find it. This is true on both sides. Take some examples:

BLM, discrimination, is there a "crime" problem, how to handle immigration. It's fascinating how the answers to all of these, fall along political lines. Mind control via media?

I do try to listen to others views and sometimes, they make good challenging points. There's a reason there are different answers and viewpoints. I don't mind thinking or challenging my own view. But some do seem "blind"... like denial there is a crime problem, or that we are releasing people too early to recommit crimes.

I find people in general choose not to see what they don't want to see. Selective ignorance? True on both sides.

I find democrats currently, less genuine than republicans and they make sense, less. I never liked trump personality to begin with, he's an ass. I learned to value how he does things, and thus value what he can contribute. I wouldn't want more than one of him...

In normal life, I'd value a Biden kinda person, but I think he sucks. I rarely agree with what he says or does.

One persons stupid is anothers evil genius I guess...

I don't as most people are not on my level.

But I feel people who do not have adequate or reasonable explanations for why they believe as they do, are "stupid".

But 95% of the time I'm just fucking around with people, and don't care either way. I just like to get people talking, even if it's their bullshit views.

For the most part, no, but I have bias like everyone else; “common sense” is not all that relative.
I am grateful to live in a society where everyone is free to express their opinions on pretty much every topic, with minimal censorship compared to NK and other regions.

The only thing I think is stupid is for someone to be bullheaded about their political, religious, or moral values- without considering even a mutually friendly conversation with the adversary. I think it’s stupid for people to only trust one news station- or to fully trust one, period. In short, it’s only stupid to refuse to use critical thinking when possible. I am sure there are beliefs I have that I could be persuaded to challenge and change, under the right circumstances. No one is perfect, and the thing is, we will never get away from bias in any way because bias lives in us and is substantiated by popular appeal, making nearly all of our opinions snap judgements.

I don't feel that way, mainly because I don't entertain political (or religious) discussions. I do know a lot of people who have that "if you're not for me, or if you don't think what I think, you're against me" attitude, but I ignore them.

Actually I don't think about them at all. Everyone has the right to be stupid or follow the herd or whatever... Just stay the fuck out of my face, leave me alone, amd for God's sake do not ho into a voting booth uniformed and vote for candidates that are only interested in screwing over the general public so they can line their pockets... I think most reasonable people feel the same way.

stupidity only comes from those who get emotional and offended. they run out of arguments and resort to insults, slander and character assassination

then there's also the notorious use of blocking where they'd cowardly have the last word, make some futile attempt to insult then stop the other person from responding to fool themselves into believing they "won" the debate

to each their own... and I actually won't lean to any political side, so I will often agree and also disagree on few things with those on the left, right, and centre as well

people with different ideals and convictions, usually have lead a different life to mine, so that is their own perspective, I respect that... I don't fight it
