When you see cartoons from the `30's `40's, or `50's that depict black, Italian, Oriental or Jewish characters, do you REALLY get offended by it?

I don't mean cartoons that are TRYING to offend, just ones that have those types of characters in them. I notice no one ever gets pissed about seeing a character emulating someone from the British isles.
For instance, one of my fave Warner Brothers characters was the mynah bird that always shows up in the three Little Inki cartoons but, because Inki is an African little boy, we're not allowed to see those cartoons, anymore!! There's NOTHING at all offensive about it, it's just a cartoon about a little boy that lives in Africa that goes hunting and is always confused by the mynah bird.

Offended, not really. But struck by how bigoted they were, yes I do. We had a long way to go back then. But now, we have gone over the edge. The country's best days were the 1990's. We had put bigotry and "racism" mostly to rest until Obama, and Democrats in general began to intentionally stir up racial divisions to gain power, votes and money. We have lost 50 years in race relations to this and I believe it is an indicator of the end of American progress. It will take an armed uprising and bloodshed to restore the country to the 90's and out enemies (China, Russia, North Korea and Iran); today's Axis of Evil, are watching and waiting to spring on us. If this country even survives its current dive into Armageddon, historians will pinpoint the indifference of the Bushes and the evil of Obama and Biden as the main contributors of our downfall.

@Dargil I'm Irish (and Scottish, German and Slovak), I can do an Irish, Scottish and various British dialects.
They depicts Scots as being very cheap in cartoons, they depict Irish either like leprechauns or drunks that love to fight. I'm none of those things. But I still find those depictions funny and, in some cases, true!
One night, we were playing a gig and me, the guitarist and the sax player (a Jew) were all in the bathroom together. The sax player told us, "You can tell there's no Jews here, tonight!" The guitarist said, "How?" The sax man said, "There's still a penny in the urinal!".

I never saw it as anyone making fun of those types of people and I certainly never laughed at the jokes just BECAUSE they were that type of person or that, in my mind I was making fun of them!
