Kobe had rape allegations and Jordan had a gambling problem. The league didn't see this as conduct detrimental?

Note: Kobe actually harmed someone. Ja, while dumb, didn't kill anyone. I'm not saying Ja was right, but the NBA should be consistent.

It is consistent. There also was a time when Bill Russell was "the man" for the Celtics. Yet he wasn't allowed to dine with the team. And was forced to use the service entrance at hotels they stayed at.

Is this OK? Certainly not in the Era we live in now. But it was consistent with the times.
