Teams no longer build around a single star like before. The winning formula these days requires an unstoppable starting five and decent second squad

Which is fine but also means that guys like Shai will not leave a mark on history like Kobe did

clearly you haven't watched a lot of shai if you think he's just providing scoring value he clears peak Kobe defensively, whilst providing more value as a playmaker, And Duncan's O isn't good enough to warrant him peaking anywhere near Shai, the free throw merchant thing is just lazy narratives
