Target Removes Some LGBTQ Merchandise From Stores Ahead Of June Pride Month

Target is removing certain items from its stores and making other changes to its LGBTQ merchandise nationwide ahead of Pride month, after an intense backlash from some customers including violent confrontations with its workers.

“Since introducing this year’s collection, we’ve experienced threats impacting our team members’ sense of safety and well-being while at work," Target said in a statement Tuesday. ”Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior."

Target declined to say which items it was removing but among the ones that garnered the most attention were “tuck friendly” women’s swimsuits that allow trans women who have not had gender-affirming operations to conceal their private parts. Designs by Abprallen, a London-based company that designs and sells occult- and satanic-themed LGBTQ clothing and accessories, have also created backlash.
The Pride merchandise has been on sale since early May. Pride month is held in June.

Target confirmed that it has moved its Pride merchandise from the front of the stores to the back in some Southern stores after confrontations and backlash from shoppers in those areas.
Target’s Pride month collection has also been the subject of several misleading videos in recent weeks, with social media users falsely claiming the retailer is selling “tuck-friendly” bathing suits designed for kids or in kids’ sizes.

I would agree with the word fragile when most are afraid to publicly express their ideology without back-up. That is one thing I can't hold against those far on the left.

Anyway, those that are conservative, regardless of voting republican or the extent of ideology are fare more likely to have kids, many kids. That's a huge driver of the economy. That dictates big business, that wal-mart and target could become such monolithic corporations in the first place. They aren't just re-stocking from bulk purchases anymore, but own their brands. Granted Great Value isn't it's own production line, but it's purchasing straight from manufacturers' bulk supply and re-labelling. That is such an insane amount of logistics and consumption every single day.

Telling you what to do and how to think, the Bud Light campaign would be an excellent example, and the call to boycott more as the realization that only someone who wants to scream "man" with a beer that tastes like piss, looks like it, and has less alcohol then Heineken could lose customers with a bad ad campaign. At least you can cook with Budweiser...

There's also treating it like boycotting that one brand is some kind of a huge impact to the trans community as a whole, on the level of regulating the sale of hormone blockers or something.

Certainly those are reasons to make many businesses walk gently around conservatives, but make others not give a damn. If you make diapers, you have to care, if you make dildos, not so much.

I ran a business installing cameras, lighting, sound, security, servers, pretty much anything electronic and the relay/control systems. I never had to give a damn about anyone's ideology, nor they about mine.

Like even I have side-eye for the trans community now, because here is a big thing? Science isn't on your side 100%. This is the BLEEDING edge of science.

Making new genders the FUCK up and DEMANDING I adhere to them is insane.
