Alissa Heinerscheid, the vice president of marketing for Bud Light, insulted the customer base of Bud Light, she was hired to overhaul Bud Light's marketing in June 2022 with the vision of freshening up its image.
It was her Bright Idea to use someone who was the complete antithesis of those who had been the Long term customers of Bud Light. But that took a disastrous turn on April 1 when the partnership with Mulvaney was announced, sparking a boycott and knocking $6 billion from the company's value.
On March 30, in an interview with the Make Yourself at Home podcast, she told of her strategy to ditch Bud Light's 'fratty' reputation and embrace inclusively to attract a young generation of drinkers.
But with Alissa Heinerscheid hiring Dylan Mulvaney she made a critical mistake as the vast majority of Mulvaney followers are under age kids, that only pissed off Bud Light’s customers even more hence them abandoning the brand.
PS I've never drunk Bud Light, not even when I lived in the US,
The parent company also "donated" half a million to the Republican party.
I try not to look at that. As I love Chikfila, Coke, etc, lots of corps who donate to ALEC and other horrid Nazi-like orgs. But just look up the literal corporations that serviced the Nazis like IBM and even Ford…there’s no where us liberals to turn.
Except Ben and Jerry’s. Maybe Costco,
Chikfila just went "woke" (which really means tolerant, which is a good thing)!
"Chick-fil-A restaurants have long been recognized as a place where people know they will be treated well. Modeling care for others starts in the restaurant, and we are committed to ensuring mutual respect, understanding and dignity everywhere we do business," Erick McReynolds, VP, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion

One side looks like they are celebrating Independence Day which is something that is good to celebrated same reason some celebrate Juneteenth the other is the celebration of the sexuality/gender identity, of a specific group of people for a month which is not needed. When you spend decades advertising to a certain very traditional demographic then do a 100% U Turn in those values do not be surprised when the same people turn their backs. Same if the drink company Absolute, vodka, goes 100% conservative. The lgbt would turn their back on it.
People are such hypocrites.
Grooming is grooming. Regardless of gender or sexual orientation. You’d be hard pressed to find anyone boycotting Bud Light that doesn’t find that revolting as well.
@DarkWinterNights funny, there’s lack of that shit in trans story time
So you admit those drag shows are also sexual? Also no one complaining about grown men showing themslves to kids at night clubs are going to obscure child strip pageant shows. Ironically at the drag shows they have kids stripping at them. Everyone looks back at TLC toddlers, and tiaras an think it was gross. Even in most child pageants the latter is not commonly done still very vain a putting on unrealistic standards on kids but nasally never sexual..

I have no problem with gays in general, but the current gender ideology insanity has gone off the deep end. Any corporation that takes a stand in support of it will never get a penny from me again. Anheuser Busch has put themselves in that bucket for me and millions of others.
I was thrilled to see Alissa Heinerscheid lost her job and will forevermore be shadowed by a cloud disgrace. In the interview she gave before the shit hit the fan, which is all over the internet, she did exactly what Gillette did with the ad that ended up costing the company $8 billion... she shit on her company's primary customer base. The combination of Heinerscheid's judgmental arrogance and profound stupidity in that interview will be memorialized in infamy on the internet. I have to think it will serve as a case study in college marketing classes for decades to come.
The Bud Light fiasco will be looked back on as a turning point. It's clear now to politicians and corporations alike that Americans, as tolerant as they have become, will only take so much. And they have had quite enough of gender ideology bullshit being shoved down their throats.
There's a Budweiser in my hand right now, if that tells you anything.
A lot of controversy these days over this kind of thing originates much higher than the corporations themselves.
I'm not well-versed enough to speak in detail about it here.
Vivek Ramaswamy, 2024 presidential candidate goes into great detail describing exactly what has been going on with Wall St. and a few top financial organizations.
He can easily be found on YouTube.
A small bit of searching will find interviews where he tells the story.
I see people jumping on bandwagons to boycott corporations when they don't even understand what's going on.
I wouldn't be so quick to do so, myself.
Everyday people rely on those corporations' existence for their daily bread.
We got into it a couple of years ago.
I've forgotten the exact topic.
"Slippery" was the word that I thought you might have remembered.
I guess not.
Though I don't often agree with your stances, I respect your right to speak your mind.
I guess that's enough to say for now.
Talk to you later.
I can’t stand the smell of beer. Never had it and never will. I tried better beer …still it’s not my thing… Many said it’s like piss water. I don’t get those who drink. Money can be there use.
I'll drink to that... a fine cup of tea!
the reason is... there is no "German" in us. God help us when we go to Germany...
@lightbulb27 thank you honey. I’m sure we can have tea there.
I don't care for beer and especially not cheap crappy beer but the company's politican opinions don't matter to me because mature adults can handle disagreement without needing to run and hide in their "safe place" where they can hide from differing opinions.
It's meaningless to me, always has been. I only find it of value when I pickup a can on the side of the road to turn it into free change. The best part about it was always the horse and carriage.
I'm quite dismayed some billionaires may lose their yachts. be careful whom you hire and what marketing programs you run.
"We" have no particular opinion about them, I don't drink beer, and I have not seen their marketing before the pic you posted.
If you want to know what your opinion should be, I guess you can do both? Love the patroic stuff but not the gay agenda? Leftists seems to be good at having contradictory opinions anyway
Don't drink. Have 2 boxes from a bbq last year nobody would take them home
First off to little to late for bud light.
Also I don’t like bud light to begin with the beer is terrible I like Deschutes brewery
So the libs won't drink it because bud donates to the repubs. The right won't touch it because of the whole tranny thing. So who is actually buying it?
I'm indifferent... because I don't drink. But colors are pretty.
I don't hate AB even though they brew panther piss. I drink real "beer".
Puts hair on your testicles.
I don't drink so I don't care about Budweiser in general.
why drink light beer? Just learn how to home brew its very fun, especially making honey mead; or support a new brand that isn't large enough to enforce Diversity Equity Quotas.
if want to drink water with my beer will drink budwiser
lite beer always was a dumb idea: water down the beer so you need to drink twice as much to get half as drunk
Hate. Not because of advertising but because it tastes disgusting.
I'm neutral on it.
I never liked their beer, so it doesn't matter to me, but they sure screwed the pooch with that ad.
if you're still drinking bud beer in 2023 then you have shit taste in beer to begin with
I do not drink anymore and when I did I rarely drank Bud anyway but I wish I drank the stull so I could participate in the boycott.
I dislike Bud simply because of their taste, nothing else.
What’s so special about beer anyway it’s smells like cat piss
Hahaha…. glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like beer.
lol. correct, they just collect water downstream of cattle farm.
