Why do most guys think being a feminist makes a man weak?

In my experience there are two reasons. First of all, the most shallow of them is that it is based on the word for women. Yes, it is stupid on the level of a kindergarten. Secondly and perhaps more difficult for men to overcome is that they conflict with the beliefs of feminism. More specifically, about how man are taught growing up that they should be "masculine" and do things like suppress their feelings and never cry in public or whatever.

As such they tie anything not strictly "masculine" in relations to men as a weakness, especially if it exposes emotions.

It's simping, specifically it's men advocating against their own interests for a chance at a whiff of pussy. And it usually doesn't work because male feminists aren't the type of guys women typically like for romantic partners.

Because today it's normal for people to believe in equality. Most people do, and they don't have to be a "feminist" to do it. In fact, it's easy to argue today's feminism isn't really about equality anymore, and for that reason most women don't even identify as a feminist now. So when you see a guy who says he's a feminist, you have to wonder what is really going on in his head.

Cause they think women are weak, so thinking you're equal to a woman means you're weak too. Simple sexism.

Weak probably isn't the best choice of words. Ignorant, naïve, or even dumb are better choices.

Why? Because if a female believes the modern feminist movement is what it claims to be, that it fights for true equality and cares about the rights of everyone, and not just females, she's not too bright. But if a guy believes that about feminism, he's a special kind of idiot.
