The USG is airdropping refugees into my town. This has driven up the price of apartments (nobody outbids the USG) causing a wave of homelessness among the working class that was already here - most of them of full or partial Mexican descent from prior waves of mass migration. The refugees get checks from the social security office and are set up with jobs, which causes more problems for the already cheap labor that was here to begin with. The USG is targeting small towns and rural areas for destruction. It is punishment for how these areas vote. There should be a rule that says migrants and refugees must be housed proportional to population, so suburbs and rich neighborhoods get to enjoy this cultural enrichment too.

@Avicenna Our elite has purposefully dumbed down the education system and degraded most of the population through offshoring jobs, destabilizing family structure, and economic repression. Most people are educated just enough to be propagandized. They have client groups who vote for gibs and their concentration of the press into fewer than ever hands allows for narrative control via all reputable information organs (i. e., not independent bloggers and other “conspiracy theorists” or what have you). So we do not have a dictatorship in the traditional sense, but an oligarchy that uses the shell of democracy to provide justification for its increasingly authoritarian grip on all aspects of life. It’s strange to think that the fact that moneyed interests using legalized bribes and propaganda to mobilize 51% of the vote confers upon it some kind of magic legitimacy to lord over the 49% with an iron fist. But this part of the state religion.
