Why do some people feel entitled to get away with stuff as long as people allow them to?

An entitlement is a provision made in accordance with a legal framework of a society. Who ever you are talking about, probably isn't entitled to anything nor do they feel they are. They just do what they do regardless of how you feel about it or what the law says. Everyone doesn't always care what you think the rules are.

I don't think entitled is the right word, but if they do something and you don't call them out on it... then they just think its okay. I guess. Like they did nothing wrong, because you didn't say anything about it.

They know what they are doing is wrong unless they are a dumbass.

Some do. But some honestly dont... they come from places, homes or families were raised by people that displayed these behaviors to them everyday. So they think alright on some level... or they can justify what they do to others based upon what's been done to them.

But yes in general I agree with you.

As you said they are "allowing them to do it." It's not even entitled It's the very nature of humanity. What is a rule if no one not a single person follows? It's definitely not a rule. It is very relevant in liability law in catastrophic disaster.
