Ever wondered why people can get away with certain things but you couldn’t if you did the same thing?

Like, for example. If someone went out of their way to be mean, they get away with it. But, if you were to do the same, you get called out on it right away. I don’t understand this logic.

well it's mostly due to superficial factors like looks, money, status, options etc.

there's a study on this called the Halo Effect/Devil Effect where more attractive people are perceived to be good and can no wrong and unattractive people are the complete opposite

Sort of like finding cocaine in the White House, and the investigation is closed without figuring out how it got there and without anyone getting in trouble. Why can't I have cocaine in the White House without getting in trouble? That's totally unfair!

It has to do with how you talk to people and how you act. If you do it correctly then you can get away with it too

Sblack students at college would say to each other yo n** , I'm coming n** etc, teachers wouldn't say anything but one day I needed a shave I said to a teacher , I look like a Muslim and the teacher said that's not appropriate, what's the difference there?

This happens because there are slick/slimy people out there who know how to butter people up and will say anything to get what they want.

Then there are people who are honest and say things no one wants to hear and they get screwed.
