Why do so many people let themselves be used?

i see it so much and not to sound sexist I mostly see women letting themselves get used by attractive and some what well off men. a friend of mine is currently juggling about 5 different girls or possibly more, and I really don't know how these women don't find out about each other. they are all just infatuated with him even though he is just blatantly using them for his own personal needs. I personally find it fascinating and a little disheartened by this. unless they just don't care. I've seen guys get used by girls just not much as I've seen girls getting used in this manner.

I've let myself get used...

but often, in the getting used, I'm using as well...

I know it's messed up.. I know it's not right...

But.. I crave the touch... the validation... I feel so much worse about myself when I'm single..

a bad "using" relationship.. is better then none at all...

i don't understand why people are so against being single, what's so bad about it really? I know I look good, I enjoy my own company and I got friends. I fail to see why others don't as well. get some hobbies or something. if your in a "using" relationship just recognise it for what it is, you can always expect nothing to come from them, so you shouldn't be disappointed or hurt in any way. play it safe as well

Oh, they mostly know about each other; they close their eyes because most women in the US will do anything for money and status these days.
