Why do Democrats think school children should be forced to read books about homo/transsexuals but get seizures if the Bible is even mentioned to them?

Books are intended to educate and inform about various aspects of life and reality. Therefore books that cover the subjects of homosexuality and transsexuality are probably encouraged to prepare school children for reality. The Bible is a religious text, and people should also be educated about religions so of course it should be part of education. However, religion is much more dangerous than homosexuality, as simple minds can get caught up and confused by it. That is generally why religious texts such as the Koran, Bible, Bhagavad Gita, Torah, &c. are covered in more advanced courses in college. Early exposure to religion has detrimental effects on undeveloped minds.

The objection to Bibles isn't about education, it's about proselytization. Typically, the people who are fighting to put Bible teaching in schools aren't trying to educate *about* religion, they are trying to have it there to indoctrinate children into believing the Bible is a guidebook for life and the rules in it are to be followed. The books with homosexuality and transsexuality aren't there teaching children that they have to be homosexual or transexual, they are teaching them that these elements exist in reality.

It's fine to teach someone that something exists, it's wrong to teach them that there is no other option.

We’re ok with reading the Bible. It’s the talk after reading it.. that it’s true that we disagree with. Have a religions course! I loved that class in college.

Because the bible is one of the most violent, sexist, propaganda and indoctrination books in existence and a fantasy book too. It is old not updated and has no ground in reality with a few exeptions but 10 good sentences doesn't make a book good.

First of all, it is the separation of church and sate that you have issues with, namely how the government can't provide preferential treatment of one religion over any other or the absence of belief. In other words, the bible can be taught in school alongside other religions and atheism.

There is no such special case for sexuality or trans which means you are making a false equivalency.

But you raise a good point. When a society prioritizes indoctrinating kids to engage in sexually abnormal behavior instead of teaching them about history and morals it is a sure sign that civilization is nearing the end.
