Is the USA too liberal about divorce?

It doesn’t have the security net to have such liberal divorce laws in my opinion.

The reason state supports marriage is to insure children have the natural support they need to grow up and be useful citizens.

Divorce is literately nothing more than the State withdrawing its support from a particular marriage. It DOES NOT mean you are no longer married. It simply means the State will cease to treat you as such.

In theses united States we are in fact referring to the state not the Federal goverment who makes theses judgement.
Other states recognize that choice and the federal goverment is suppose to simply adopt whatever view the state has in its limited interactions (taxes).

Ah right, I was warned that the Republicans was going to go after divorce next. Namely, they do not want women to have the legal ability to divorce their husbands without legal cause AKA infidelity or whatever. Truly the Republicans have fallen low these days.

There is no reason the governement should have a say in the matter at all. Divorcing or not is entirely a private matter and nobody else's business.

Yes, 'No fault' Divorce laws and the 'Family Court' (which is anything but a Family Court) is biased in favour of women has made Divorce to easy for women to initiate, and there is no security net for men, even if the man can prove infidelity it is he who will suffer the financial loss, loss of the family home, loss of access to his children, loss of any other property he owns.

Other countries are a lot more liberal. I think itvis more the culture instead of laws that drive the high divorce rates

Yes and no. If a marriage sucks people should be able to get out. What should not happen is a cheater getting half of everything plus spousal support from the innocent party.

But honestly we’re liberal in divorce (fine) but too conservative in marriage. We should teach sex ed, and allow children more experiences like higher education away from home before marriage.
