Why does Texas have such liberal divorce laws?

Texas the state in the US, has some very progressive, left wing, feminist, divorce laws.

Probably because the country used to be pretty liberal overall. This rage addiction of the right to boost reach and consolidate power is actually a relatively recent phenomenon. Citizens United is when it really took off but it arguably started in the leadup to retracting the fairness doctrine.
