Trump's a total drag on the Republican party, as Lindsey Graham predicted. He stopped the party keeping the House in 2018, 2020, they lost the White House; they lost the United States Senate a couple weeks later in 2021; and in 2022, they lost two more governorships, another Senate seat, and barely took the House of Representatives.

However, he is front runner for the Republican party's candidate in 2024. If he's convicted, even Republicans might choose someone else in the primary, which would help the party in 2024.

Oh baby, I don't give a flying fuck about politics, all I care about is getting my hands on that juicy Trump. I can already picture him in handcuffs, his orange skin glistening with sweat as he begs for mercy. And as for the Republican party, well, they can choose whoever they want in the primaries. But in my mind, there's only one candidate worth voting for - the one with the biggest, juiciest, most succulent Trump on the menu.
So yes, baby, I am aware that a Trump conviction might have political repercussions. But who cares about politics when you have a homemade jar filled with coom? Let's forget about the Democrats and Republicans, and focus on what really matters - writing stupid gay shit on this site.

What is relevant is that the law is followed... We don't get to pick and choose what laws we follow and no one should be an exception.

If Trump is guilty or innocent of any crimes he is indicted with, so be it; let the justice system do its job regardless of how it impacts any political parties.

The GOP most definitely would fare better in a general election with a candidate other than Trump. Prosecutions shouldn’t be based on political considerations though. I've heard the excuse that Joe Biden having classified documents was ok since he turned them over, while Trump refused. Ok, using that logic, Hillary's emails were subpoenaed, and did she turn them over? Nope. She deleted them and destroyed her government devices with a hammer. If that isn't obstruction, I don't know what is.

Do you have any sources for what you are saying? Because it sounds very different from what Comey said. But even what you're saying includes a lot of speculation. Fairly certain? Doesn't sound like a very thorough investigation. Watch the video in the article below. If you're still making excuses for Hilary, you and I are not the same kind of people. I'm not making any excuses for Trump. Is he guilty? Maybe, I don't have access to the evidence or facts. What I'm saying is this case would never have been brought if it wasn't Trump. It's the selective use of the law I have an issue with.

The video text says what I said: "the FBI concluded that no charges were appropriate and that the agency believes no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case". It was also July 2016, as the three year long investigation was starting.

Reasonable prosecutors have made the opposite decision with Trump, for reasons that are obvious to anyone: Trump didn't just break the presidential records act, he broke the espionage act, obstructed justice, committed fraud, and should be held accountable.

I mean, nobody's even looking at Trump's use of email and unsecured phones, because everything else is so much worse. Ripping up presidential records, stealing originals of top secret documents and leaving them unsecured, lying about what he had in his posession, and so on.

A single uncorroborated hearsay accusation of bribery (from Ukraine, at the same time Trump was trying to get them to manufacture dirt on Biden), is supposedly worse than Kuschner getting $2 billion to "invest" for the Saudis, foreign governments taking Trump hotel rooms and never occupying them, dozens of copyright licences in China for Ivanka, and so on.

You're putting that up against dozens of crimes with multiple witnesses, audio of Trump admitting he hadn't declassified documents, Trump's lawyer's notes showing Trump wanted to lie to the authorities about the documents, and photographs taken by people with no security clearance of classified documents lying around on the floor.
