How would you feel if you saw on the news all social media websites like Instagram, Tik tok, Facebook, Snapchat etc are all going to be banned and become inaccessible on the internet in the country you live in?

yes, the internet is really an amazing thing but it has been misused with social media. Kids develop self esteem issues and cyber bullying is rampant. There are many divorces because of social media and people mess up their lives by posting compromising stuff on social media. We could have done without social media.

It was designed and promoted to accelerate the demise of the West, along with a few other methods used to achieve the goal. It's been hugely successful too. Westerners are naive... I would think they would've learned their lesson from Vietnam and Afghanistan, but apparently not. They still beat their chests about how indestructible they are because "no one will invade them, we have military might" and blah, blah. And they don't even see how a few select powers that be from within... have sold the masses out and given them every means to self destruct-and are heavily promoting those means to the masses. They're very naive.

I don't use any of those sites and never have so it wouldn't affect me. I thought people where stupid for using them when they first came out. I still think people are stupid for using them. I don't like to see information banned. But social media in general is monitoring software to profile and track people. Why people volunteer to use them is beyond me.

I think the state of people's happiness is not dependant on social media. It is dependant on their own personal believes and views of the world.

Social media specifically, Certainly, there has been some good but even scientific studies are fairly clear on the both interpersonal and social issues inherent with social media, if you weigh it against the positive effects the negative still seems far more damaging

Yes I'd go with that supposition, I grew up at the start of the PC/Laptop age, people started to go nuts not long after Facebook started up, but it really took off alongside whatsapp and especially the Western variety of Tiktok which bares no relation to the original Chinese version which is more like Youtube.

Sure but a lot of this chaos is because the people at the social media's HQ started listening to the psychopaths who got offended over other people's opinions and beg for them to be kicked off.

If HQ told them to fuck off or have the government regulate them like they regulate phone companies, as in that they aren't supposed to be listening in on conversations, I think we would be in a much better position today.

I keep getting YouTube shorts of Highschools in the early 2000’s and all the kids are talking to each-other, laughing and enjoying life. So yeah- the world would be a happier place without constant access to social media. We’ve lost our humanity.
