Voted No, but the "lost his mind" part of the answer is problematic.

Certainly there is evidence, from a distance, that President Biden's mental faculties are in decline. However, without a proper examination under controlled clinical conditions, such an diagnosis must be deemed problematic at best.

As a scientific matter, the motives and biases - and I add that I am NOT a fan of President Biden and I work in politics at the Federal level- cannot be disregarded. Such motives and biases make a diagnosis problematic at best.

Besides, what matters more is the President's bad policies. Policies on which he campaigned largely from his basement and which the presumably sane diagnosing public judged him and voted for him all the same. This begging the question of the judgment - not to say sanity - of the voting public.

A less pejorative public and one which was more sensible about its' politics is more important and would be a safeguard against the rancid culture and politics that gave the USA Mr. Biden. To borrow from H. L. Mencken, "Democracy is the theory that the people should get what they want, and get it good and hard."

They have and they have no one but themselves to blame.

Oh, and by the way, it is unlikely that Mr. Biden could, were he British, become Prime Minister. The British public being well aware that their current head of state is a King, not a Queen. Even in an age of gender fluidity, the British public can tell the difference.

@RavVid Well, it is a little bit of statistical distortion. Unemployment seems low, but that is, in part, because the labor participation rate is at record lows. This making unemployment seem lower than it is.

Inflation has been higher than statistical norms. In that connection, the economic growth rate - because the economy was at near zero during COVID - appears better than it actually is. If you go from zero to 1, that is a 100% increase. In reality, however, the growth rates of the pre-COVID period were higher because starting from a higher base.

Bottom line, that is why the economy is ranked so poorly in opinion polls, even as it seems to be, by historical standards, pretty good. Quite simply, the media has yet to learn to read economic stats relative to circumstances as opposed to as absolutes.

As to President Biden, I prefer not to make judgments on his mental state - though your observations are not without merit - without a proper examination. Rather, it is best to judge Mr. Biden on the merits, such as they are.

Beyond that, in fairness, while the natural habit is to credit a President or not with an economy - with some exceptions (See FDR. See Reagan), most Presidents have far less impact on the economy than is popularly imagined. In truth, Mr. Biden's tenure, to date, has been inconsequential one way or the other. His policies banal and non-descript, and the economy has largely moved independently of whatever Mr. Biden's intentions.

I fact check everything I hear CNN, Fox, msnbc, nbc, abc, cbs, etc. They promote a false narrative of Trump, and give him a reputation as scary, mean, racist, sexist, dangerous, reckless, etc, which simply isn’t true.
