Have the kids today become too soft?

They say difficult times create strong men, strong men create peaceful times, peaceful times create weak men, weak men create difficult times. Are we now in the weak times create difficult times?

I'd say a lot of them are.

I'm not going to say much about growing up before cell phones, playing outside in the neighborhood or in vacant lots or parks and only coming home in time for dinner, walking or riding a bike two miles each way to school, doing chores, or being allowed to have jobs like paper routes or mowing lawns as a kid.

I have relatives who are farmers, and their kids are the old fashioned kind of tough and wholesome. They can herd and milk the cows, plow the north forty, and toss hay bails into the loft before breakfast. Hunt deer or pheasant, and repair the tractor after school. They get top grades in school and are sports stars. Ride bulls, build playgrounds, and participate in community fundraisers on weekends.
The girls are just as fit, active and wholesome.
There are people like that in America.

But kids who don't have to work and don't have any responsibilities, who get driven to and from school, eat crappy food, can't play unsupervised, and play video games instead of going outside are naturally going to be weak. Then they sit around and complain about how tough and unfair life is because they are used to having things given to them.

Yes, kids are both physically and mentally soft. I go to the beach and look at kids and they are all flabby and soft. They even have soft hands. this is both genders. They have not been challenged mentally either. They grew up with the internet and don't have to make too many decision on their own.

We always hear the stories of Grandpa talking to the 'youngins' with the stories of "Now when I was a boy I had to walk three miles to school carrying my books, and lunch THROUGH THE SNOW... etc etc etc

I went back to my HS during a 20 Year reunion and went to the ADMIN office for a 'tour through the school. I asked the Principal to take me to the "old Gym' as I wanted to see it. Wen we went out for football, one of the trial things was to climb a 30 foot climbing rope to the ceiling, touch the beam and come down 'hand-over-hand' to the floor.

• When I asked the principal how high the ceiling was (30 feet) and told him what we did as a football team... His comment was" Oh, no, we could never have them do that! We could never possibly assume the liability of a kid falling!!!

So much for the 'soft kids' at that school now! We never ever thought about falling from that rope !!!

most kids are soft but that's to be expected. tough kids however do stand out in the crowd and receive admiration from their peers whether they use that toughness for good like speaking the truth against public school indoctrination propaganda or bad like bullying others

as far as men are concerned, yes all these simps, white knights, cucks, male feminists make men look weak as they hide their spineless pandering and politically correct cowardice behind their entitled false sense of moral superiority

the SJW propaganda is being spearheaded by the likes of older men like George Soros, Al Gore, Joe Biden etc.

I do see a majority of kids presently being too distracted with electronic tranquilizers to show their real potential.

Isn't it rather their PARENTS' generation that owns mushy brains?

I haven't seen ONE kid yet that thinks out fictional genders, or money that isn't money, or ''information'' that leaves out the last 3000 years of scientific research, or a kid that invents 'social justice' issues.

The problem kids of today are mostly those who believe that they are young adults - but not the children who perhaps will develop ideas about how to save mankind in its social aspects.

Thus: in my opinion we are in a ''low'' since the 90's already. Today's kids can't be blamed for this.

I don't know that kids are softer, but its become acceptable to admit to being soft. When I was a kid you NEVER admitted you were afraid of anything. Of course with the threat of nuclear war, maybe other concerns seemed pretty trivial
