People routinely avoid jail time by paying or settling their back taxes. There are numerous examples of this if people care to look. Snipes owed $23.5 million to the IRS, far more than Biden and, most importantly, he didn’t cooperate and pay the back taxes with penalties like Biden did, nor did he make a serious effort at a settlement. It is apparent that the crimes that Hunter committed were not going away so the DOJ decided to prosecute him and then not impose any punishment and the DOJ and the media will tell the American people how fair the justice system is because they "prosecuted" Hunter.

Meanwhile the DOJ wants to put Trump in prison for the rest of his life for doing something that he as president had every right to do. The good thing is that the American people are finally waking up and understanding how damaging a crooked justice system is to a free country. suddenly it's not free anymore.

Me, I disagree with Dershowitz on two things:

1. He says the case against Nixon was stronger, but Nixon was told about Watergate after it happened, and then obstructed justice, Trump has been caught red handed both committing crimes and obsructing justice (which is also a crime, of course).

2. He says it doesn't count unless condemnation is bipartisan. The idea that today's Republican party has the sense of honour to repudiate one of their own is laughable. Look at George Santos, let alone the man who tried to steal the presidency. Even the Republican lawmakers who want Trump out and said, for example, Donald Trump was "practically and morally responsible" for his supporters' attack on the Capitol are quietly hoping the law will get rid of him for them and they can campaign on the lie that it was a political attack by Democrats.

The train workers who were stopped from striking recently now have paid sick leave (the reason they were about to strike).

The median wage is higher than before, excepting during the pandemic when mostly underpaid people were made redundant (the median is only of people who earn a wage).

SCOTUS "justices" taking massive gifts from billionaires with business before the courts is corrupt. An Attorney General misrepresenting a report critical of his boss is corrupt. Not arresting, let alone prosecuting, people you know personally for the murder of a black man is corrupt. Trying to fire prosecutors who are investigating you is corrupt.

Leaving the prosecutor who was appointed by your predecessor in place while they finish the investigation into your son is not corrupt.
