If there are no differences for men and women, we should abolish women’s sports and just have everyone compete in the same league. If men and women are not the same, then we must abolished the idea of transgender from public life
+1 yWe have separate gender-based sports categories because a difference does exist between men and women, regardless of what anybody says. If a human's genetics contain 46, XY chromosomes with the sexual reproductive role that normally produces a sperm cell or male gamete, then the human in question is categorized as male. If a human's genetics contain 46, XX chromosomes with the sexual reproductive role that normally produces egg cells and gives birth to offspring, then the human in question is categorized as female. The Y-chromosome is responsible for testosterone production, and higher levels often result in bigger, stronger humans. Because males have more testosterone than females, males tend to be bigger and stronger than females. Because many sports often rely heavily on size and strength, males typically have an advantage over females. Therefore, gender-based categories exist in sports to keep competition fair. When considering the concept of "gender identity," a person can simply be male or female based on how they feel as opposed to the composition of his or her DNA, or, more specifically, sex chromosomes. As a result, a man can simply claim that he is a woman because of "gender identity" and dominate women's sports based on his natural advantages.

@FemKaylaT: I support the transgender community by advocating that they seek help in ways that will truly help them. To answer your other question, yes, I do consider it a mental illness.

Don't expect to get actual answers by sjws on questions like these. I have tried in the past. The mind of a sjw is like the schrödingers cat theory, except the outcome is what benefits them at the moment. They can't tell you the difference between men and women, but they do know that women somehow are more opressed, gay people are somehow only attracted to the same gender despite their inability to tell the difference, and trans surgeries is for some reason far more serious and necessary than cosmetic surgeries, despite sjws inability to say what a woman or a man is.
In short, their logic don't hold up when questioned, so they either ban or ignore people who ask hard questions and label them problematic.

Ohj really? You think gender is that easily defined? I mean, fair enough but to start with I must point out that your body makes mistakes. For example, people born with male genetics develop into fully a fully functional female body. In other words, you probably contradicted your favorite theory that the XY and XX genomes decides gender.

+1 ynot sure where the argument came from.
I think the issue is these people "need to feel included" and they feel like they are something other than their body says.
I'd just make another category: Women (born a female identify as such), Male, All Others.
So that way if someone is trans or does a switcheroo whileint he water, they are still in the right group. Only problem remaining is dolphins whom identify as humans, not much can do about them so just accept 2nd+ position...
Everyone gets a trophy anyways...

People were making farms and raising cattle over 10 000 years ago and there are plenty of Religions that predates Judaism and Hinduism. For example, Judaism is just a continuation of previous religions which includes taking their mythology and rewriting it to be about Jaweh rather than gods like El, Asherah and Baal.
From what I have heard the god of Judaism originated as a war god in a polytheistic religion which then converted over to a monotheism after facing extreme hardship and extinction from hostile powers thus pushing them to extremist beliefs.
History lessons aside, the first religion easily predates human written history. Probably at least 40 000 years or so ago if not predating our entire species. To go back to the conversation, they would also have an opinion of if the earth rotated around the sun or if the sun rotated around the earth. - +1 y
There were other religions the berated Judaism yes there were people who predated Jews that believed in the Jewish God Noah for example, what made Judaism different from all other religions at the time was they were the first monotheistic religion and the main one that pushed Judaism into what it is today is no child sacrifice. Every other religion had child sacrifice, the Jews were like “we don’t want to kill kids”. Same with Hindus it’s up there a polytheistic society. That’s why there are only two religions from the time that exist today.
Now we could go back to the time where there is child sacrifice I don’t know if you have kids, but imagine sacrificing your child to the gods as somebody who grew up in a Judio Christian society do you believe this is wrong. If you grew up in that society, you wouldn’t think it’s wrong. Do you think child sacrifice is wrong? - +1 y
Neither Judaism or Hinduism from back then has survived to today. Granted, I am not as familiar with Hinduism but the resilience of Judaism is its ability to change over time. The bible itself is a transformative work that has been written, re-written, edited and redacted countless times by countless different people for countless different reasons.
One of my favorite examples of this is that they never did fully manage to purge the bible of polytheism. The first commandment tells you to have no other gods before Yaweh as if the existence of other gods was obvious and he also describes himself as a "jealous God" implying that there are other gods you could be praying towards. Furthermore especially in older texts there are examples of Jacob climbing a ladder to heaven and wrestling god but the important part is where he makes Yaweh into his "primary god" meaning that he was just one in a pantheon at that time.
It was also a Abrahamic tradition to subsume other cultures and religions into their own as a way to conquer new people on a cultural level. Things like Christmas or Easter for example. As such, Christianity and Judaism etc.. has only continued to exist because they keep changing to keep up with the current society. At times they consume other religious practices, other times they purge their values such as rejecting other gods and becoming monotheist, most of the times however its just a convenient power tool for someone in charge and rewritten as such.
Christianity today would be outright heretical from the viewpoint of Christians back in Jesus time and Judaism fares no better. The current world religions has only really been able to be maintained by sacrificing everything they stand for along the way. Aside from perhaps Buddhism but that is a special case.
+1 yAnd abolish title IX

@Sasahara I guess I need to be more specific since you dont get it yet. I am guessing you are a man right? And I am also guessing that you are different from your father right? But you agree that you are both still men right and we should not discriminate between you because one of you are stronger or taller or whatever right?
The problem you are having here is that you are lacking a definition of what a man or a woman is. It literally does not matter how different they are if you can't identify that difference and use that definition to test if someone is a man or a woman. This is why we say there is not a difference, because nobody has actually been able to find this definition.
For everything you can point to, there is an exception that contradicts your argument. Why? Because there was never such a thing. Biology dont actually work that way, it produces chaos and not perfectly arranged groups. - +1 y
@Soteris The definition of what a man is a person born with a dick. I don't lack a definition just because you refuse to accept the truth. Colors like red and green exists despite the fact that color blind people might not be able to tell that difference. There is also that chromoson theory you claimed is my favorite theory.
Man and women are manmade terms, and manmade descriptions.
And again, if people can't tell the difference, they can't use that non-existent diference to discriminate, ergo title IX is unnecessary and outdated in your worldview because people would be unable to discriminate. - +1 y
@Sasahara Colors are also something that is not really defined. We can measure the exact wavelength so even a blind man can prove what light it is but exactly what wavelenght the color red is as opposed to yellow is not defined since colors dont actually exist.
There is another word for "manmande descriptions". They are called a "Social Construct". Something that society collectively agrees upon but which does not actually exist in reality. It is important to remember that we "invented" these things which means that reality does not have to conform to what we decide upon. Reality never had any "men" or "women" and it will not do so just because we decided to "invent" the term.
Also again, title 9 has nothing to do with the existence or non existence of gender. It has to do with the existence of sexists which DO exist. Kinda like how the Islamic God does not exist but there are Muslims who believe he does and will behave and act because of this belief of theirs which can lead towards things such as terrorist attacks.
The terrorist attacks are real, their god is not. Therefore it is important to have for example a law that protects people against others who believe insanely stupid things. - +1 y
@Soteris Gender and sex are the same thing in this context. Man = male, Woman = Female. You can't be sexist if genders don't exist. Ergo title IX is outdated and no longer needed. If this reality of yours lack men and women, tell that to the trans people on this planet, if there is no men or women, there are no transmen or transwomen, and their bodies work as intended, their transsurgeries are no more important than a breast implants or whatever else cosmetic surgeries people have just because they don't look the exact way they wish they did.
Of course we invented the descriptions, they are invented to explain these simple things! You are making a big bogaloo out of the very simple concept man and woman. Yes there exceptions with a medical problem, but in general and by far the majority, men are born with dicks women are born with vaginas. - +1 y
@Sasahara Yes you can be sexist if genders dont exist. Your perception and beliefs of the world has nothing to do with the actual reality. Have you seriously never heard of someone being wrong before?
Also you have a mighty big problem understanding the difference of a social construct any something which is not. Colour is a social construct. Iron is not. We have a definition of iron that we can use to test and determine if something is iron or not. Specifically if it has the correct atomic structure. There is no such thing for the colour red or for any gender. - +1 y
@Soteris How am I contradicting myself? I never claimed people can't be wrong. Of course people can be wrong. I said that I have heard people being wrong before, and I'm saying that in this conversation, you have been an example of someone who has been wrong. Because I have been right, and have explained to you to the best of my ability, how these things are.
Just a few little things you perhaps should know. I have something called aspergers. And the way it affects me, gives me the ability to be rather stubborn, and I can get rather petulant. You are not going to be able to prove that I'm wrong on this subject. - +1 y
@Sasahara If people can be wrong then people can believe in things that are not true as well as act on those beliefs and therefore it does not matter if gender exists or not because people will use that as an excuse to commit crimes hence the existence of laws specifically tied to the concept of gender.
At no point is title 9 reliant on gender actually existing. It is reliant on humans being fallible. - +1 y
