Is Britain a nation of bookworms and know-it-alls?

I swear the British know every era of history, and they are aware of every bit of detail from every battle from every war *in all countries*. Were they born with books in their hands or something? Apart from Canadians, the Brits are more educated than every other nation?

I knew the British were intelligent, but I never thought that they were *THAT* intelligent!

Fun fact: you cannot challenge an English person intellectually, he/she will easily and soundly defeat you. Only Canadians (apparently they are just as clever and articulate as Brits) can match the British.
