We always judge humans for being evil, but do you ever stop and appreciate the kindness?

I am really into learning humans and the world around us. In my free time when I am not busy picking dresses or places to go for having fun, in my lone coziness, I find the biggest comfort in learning about the world.

In my mind I often judged humans for not being as ideal as I thought we could be. But yesterday I have been watching one of many documentaries about the brutal things animals are capable of doing and they do it everyday and it made me think.

I am one of the people who believes we evolved to be the type of beings as we are today, and once we were just “animals” too. (forgive me, if it opposes your religious views)

I have always been thinking humans are able to do horrible atrocities. I also always hated the idea of being limited by the laws and rules, as I am a freedom lover. I liked the thought of being free as in the primal freedom.

Yesterday I watched the documentary and realized how simply, unceremoniously wicked the nature can be, I appreciated our humanity a bit more.

We all are carrying the huge potential of surviving, it means we also carry the potential of fighting against or doing some of the most evil, unthinkable and cruel things.

Yet, we choose to oppose our nature, our destructiveness and limit ourselves with laws, religions, morals, whatever it takes.

We fight against our violent nature since the dawn of civilization.

Even though naturally we are very destructive creatures, we have bound ourselves - like a mother in a movie that’s about to turn into a zombie binding herself with chains to save her kids from her. We bind ourselves with laws and religions.

Trying to be not who we really are and instead become who we’d like to be.

If we were truly good in nature, there would be no need of laws or a God, but we are not good and hence why we need both.

Isn’t it awesome that we are potentially capable of being the worst nightmares and yet, we wake up & choose to be good?

We always judge humans for being evil, but do you ever stop and appreciate the kindness?
