Why is MTG allowed to work as a legislator? Who hired her? Is this what Trump was left with when he “drained the swamp” ?

Members of Congress are not "hired," the process of selection does not involve getting any one specific person's approval, and members of Congress do not need the approval of the president.

She is over the age of 25, has been a US citizen for at least 7 years, has not been declared incompetent, is a registered voter who resides in the district which she represents, and was elected by the voters of that district. All that this says is that the voters thought she was a better choice than the Democrat candidate.

If you believe that members of Congress must get someone else's approval, who would you suggest serve in that capacity?

Because we have a whole country filled with lunatics who adore right-wing conspiracy theories and regressive policies. They simply can't resist the charm of racism, sexism, homophobia, and QAnon. And who doesn't love it when Marjorie Taylor Greene spreads false claims about school shootings? Sandy Hook and Parkland? Clearly staged, right? Oh, and let's not forget her love for conspiracy theories about Muslim Americans infiltrating our government. Such rational thinking by that swamp monster!

MTG is an example of what's good, and not so good, about a democratic (not the party) election process. Anyone can get elected, if they have enough support. There is no qualifications test for an elected representative. Rather, they are elected solely because they can get enough people to vote for them.
