Why is putin mad at Ukrain?

Putin is not mad at Ukraine. I did make a fairly detailed mytake on it earlier which will probably answer more regarding this than you ever want to know:

Russian Invasion; The hows and the whys.

Basically, Putin and Russia feels a very desperate need to reacquire Ukraine along with a bunch of other territories around Europe. It is a top security concern which they rightly or wrongly think is vital for the continuing existence of Russia as a country more or less.

That Ukraine wanted in 2014 to join EU and by that they will not control economicly this nation.
