I don’t care about if somebody is a Billionaire I don’t care if somebody is a millionaire or 100,000 aire your ten thousandaire what you make is non of my concern. I care about what you do.
Jeff Bazos be like a billionaire why because he has provided a company that provides millions of jobs to everyone on earth, and has made ordering pretty much anything you want and having it shipped to your house a norm of society. He’s a billionaire because his provides a good and service, and he hires people to provide goods and services that he cannot do by myself. He made many many good decisions that every single one of us benefit from. Amazon is an amazing service. Amazon is an amazing service. He pays the people at the Washington Post. I’m pretty sure he owns Whole Foods. So What? He provided goods and services that are beneficial to me and beneficial to you as OddBeMe he provides goods and services to the next person that’s going to comment on your question pretty much every single person in the world that’s not living in it, abject, poverty benefits from Amazon. Those who, like to read the Washington post benefit from main keeping with the Washington post afloat. He’s a billionaire because he does what he does and pay those who work for him. He provides the service to billions of people around the world. Jeff Bezos has earned the right literally through hard work to be a billionaire. I’m sure you would love to be a millionaire. I am sure I would love to be a billionaire I’m sure the next person I comment would love to be a billionaire I guess why we’re not a billionaire because we haven’t provided, the goods and services that Jeff Bazos has. The only reason why we defend billionaires is because they provide the services for all of us on the companies. They’ve made billions off of the companies that they have owned. This is called the free market. Amazon is tax benefits, because they not only provide jobs for 1.6 million people all of those 1.6 million people are employed anything paid by Jeff Bezos, so that they can go and spend money healthy at home and work. This is the basis of free markets. Here has taken advantage of supply and demand people demand or supply of a good and he fulfilled that demand. This is economics 101.
The opposite question is just as valid. Why do people condemn billionaires?
Being a billionaire doesn't mean anything other than they are a billionaire. There is no reason to condemn or defend them.
Personally, by default, I will defend them. Partly because I know what type of people condemn them. And partly because they are sugar daddies who pay shitloads of tax, create millions of jobs. They pay for our schools, roads, fire departments, and a whole lot of other things. So let them keep doing it.
Of course we could punish them and take away all their money and assets. We'd end up paying dramatically more taxes ourselves to compensate. But who cares if we have a major tax increase, as long as we get rid of the evil billionaires.
So without a good reason to condemn them, I'm going to defend them.
I have no idea and it's maddening. It's like they think if someone can be a billionaire then they can also be one. Spoiler alert... You definitely won't.
Yeah they don't realize that you can't even be a millionaire if these chucklefucks keep hoarding all the money. Plus these billionaires that make all of this money aren't helping anyone else out at all.
@exitseven she actually donated a lot of it. She realized she can live off 1 billion and not ever worry about money again.
@exitseven
She didn't squander it she actually did with it what Bezos should have. She gave it to people in need, charities. She'll never ever spend it in her lifetime or her kids or grandkids lifetimes so she wasn't greedy. She gave it to people that actually need it.
@exitseven
St. Jude's children hospital needs it more than you.
@exitseven who knows and it and doesn’t matter. I know journalists verified MacKenzie Scott did give a fck ton away to actual charities. And not bullshit ones like religion.
@exitseven free from what? Billionaires? You realize they are, in effect, the middle class’s economic foe.
@exitseven ha! You know that would mean you’re living in a fascist state? If all your political enemies were gone.
I do know one thing somebody being able to amass 200 billion dollars doesn't mean any of us will ever have a shot at that.
So billionaires aren't our friends and they don't make our life easier by any means. They literally just hoard money. That's called greed.
I definitely don’t defend billionaires I don’t even know
I have no problem increasing tax rates for bililionaires
I will lol. I think everybody should pay their fair share in taxes. But not like 90% like the IRS was charging billionaires back in the 1950s (learned that in history class).

I was going to type some stuff up but @Stoner710 beat me to it. If Jeff B makes a 500 million bucks tomorrow morning when the stock market opens, doesn't affect me at all. Good on him. I remember life before Amazon when 4-6 weeks for delivery was standard. He's reshaped modern commerce. You get paid for doing that. Show me a billionaire that has taken food off my plate and I'll reconsider, but I'm eating well tonight and so are my rescue kittens.
I oppose all income tax in favor of a national sales tax (no VAT), but I don't have a problem with creating more billionaires. That's how we get same day delivery and drones dropping off pizza at my front door.
Then you don’t know a thing about billionaires. And we already have sales tax. It’s goes to the city and state.
And rich people get out of paying sales tax by having their company cover their living expenses. Look into the discovery documents of Elizabeth Holmes, who went on trial for the blood thing. Never owned a home, nor bought groceries. These people weasel out of sales tax.
Yes, we have state and local sales tax. That changes nothing. I still favor replacing income tax with a national non-VAT sales tax.
"And rich people get out of paying sales tax by having their company cover their living expenses."
As long as the company has the revenue to do that, I don't care. I've had housing provided by many jobs over the years, it's part of the compensation package.
Poor people aren't paying the majority of sales tax. I buy far more now than when I was poor. My credit card bill is 5-6 figures a month, all of which has sales tax attached to it. Rich people currently pay the majority of tax. Thirdly, yes I want to starve the U. S. budget. Government is bloated and has lost the ability to prioritize the spending of our money, which is what they do, as the government has no money but what they take from us.
I don't care any more about billionaires than anyone else. I care about guaranteeing every person's right. Just as a poor person has rights regardless of wealth or income, so too a billionaire.
So if the question becomes "Does a poor person have the right to use a public park?", for me it is an obvious yes. If the question is "Does a rich person have the right to keep their property?", it is an obvious yes.
If a rich person can be made to give away 70% of their income for "the benefit of society" (whether true or not), then the same can be done with poor people, because the principle is the same — that the state has the right to take the majority of a person's earnings if it deems this to benefit society.
So the question is not about billionaires because they are billionaires. It is about protecting the rights of any citizen, which when it comes to billionaires, is mostly about the right to private property.

I don't care if someone is a billionaire through providing goods and services that people voluntarily buy. I do have a problem with those who make huge amounts on no-bid contracts and sweetheart tax deals or by getting away with fleecing people because their friends are in office.
So why are you so against the one political figure who takes on these oligarchs? You support the Democratic Party, which is funded by all of these billionaires, who dictate the party's policies. So you're either clueless or dishonest>
Talk is cheap, as the record shows when Democrats are in power. In Biden's first two years, Democrats controlled Congress. Did they raise taxes on the rich? No. Did they provide student loan debt relief? No. Did they do anything for ordinary people? No. But they sure sent a lot of money to Ukraine. Who knows where that went?
Don't pretend that Democrats really want to raise taxes on those who fund them, especially via dark money. But they're happy to increase regulations and strangle small businesses.
You'll really hit the billionaires in the wallet by reducing immigration. But Democrats haven't cared about working people for over three decades (at least).
You haven't adjusted yet to the real fault line in US politics- the establishment vs the people. I support the people. You support the establishment.
Because being a billionaire in it of itself isn't a bad thing because they usually got it by providing a service that made everyone's lives better.
The problem is what they become after becoming a billionaire. I certainly don't trust Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos becuase they have proven time and time again to be awful people Gates, from what I hear, was a dickhead even before becoming a billionaire.
Because they are stupid. They been brainwashed by the system to look up and admire rich people and their worldly success while the rich simultaneously abuse and laugh at them paying them the same ole salary year after year while they continue to fatten their pockets off their sweat.
Because they need a daddy or they think they need one lol
The only billionaire I will defend is this guy.

Same reason people follow the cult of PR billionaires and dedend politicians
same reason men simp for women and women simp for bad boys
Republicans, complain about the economy, and being poor, and then vote for supposed "billionaires" like trump, even though he's defaulted at least 6 times
I don't care about the rich; but I want to become rich. So I don't want to close the avenues to become rich. Which is what all the "Eat the rich" people suggest.
The 'Eat the rich" people should be put on the next Aeroflot to Moscow. Failing that, Interflug to East Berlin (Hauptstadt der DDR) would suffice.
No one needs to be a billionaire. If your society has billionaires there is something wrong with your economy.
This is just another instance of Stockholm syndrome.
I'll only defend them if they buy me a yacht.
I'll defend millionaires because I know plenty of them but billionaires are scum mostly democrats, pedophiles and eugenicists
