About 30 years ago when I was washing my car, I heard one neighbor yelling to another neighbor to look up. There was an F-16 fighter jet falling out of the sky with fire billowing out the tailpipe in a flat spin. It drifted further away as it fell and landed with a "wooomph" about a thousand feet north of me. I later read in the newspaper that the pilot had safely ejected and parachuted to the ground. The terrible part was that we lost a beautiful, multi-million dollar aircraft. I believe the jet belonged to the Indiana Air National Guard.

I saw a guy die of a heart attack while shopping for food at the grocery store. That is the worst thing I’ve seen in the physical world and the worst thing I saw on tv was an image of a starving polar bear that could not find food to eat.

I saw a helicopter crash into an apartment building. It was like something out of a movie Fortunately there was nobody in the building but the helicopter pilot was killed
