besides physical advantages of men, women have every other advantage in society

it is actually men's physical advantages that puts more burden of performance and expectation on them to be taller, stronger, faster, smarter, wealthier and measurably superior to women while at the same time being completely disposable and expendable. male suicide rates are only met with "shut up and stop whining" insults as a solution

slut shaming pales in comparison to loser shaming, virgin shaming, incel shaming, creep shaming, coward shaming, false rape accusations, false domestic abuse accusations and many other use of language designed specifically to control men into being obedient wage slaves

and there's stupid unwritten rules surrounding the term "real man" whilst at the same time denouncing other terms like "alpha" and "high value man", a complete double standard and contradiction that would never be tolerated amongst women

it's gotten to the point where people can actually question whether a wife is willing to stick by her husband if a bunch of random women suddenly accused him of raping them years ago and it wouldn't be shocker if she sided with them against her husband

it's nothing new but likely a form of competition to "impress" women kinda like how women slut shaming other women makes the promiscuous woman less desire as a potential wife/mother.

whatever the reasons are, it's not always a good thing because actions speak louder than words and no progress is made just by talking trash. a man who truly believes in what he believes in will fight to the death to defend that belief and physical confrontation would be the final decider.

it's not particularly helpful when it's all talk and no action (though action can be met with resistance) but at times, it's hard to feel sympathy or empathy for someone who receives "karma" for engaging in such

He used the wrong word. Our present society is not a matriarchy because familial lineage rights are not conferred through the woman's bloodline. Women can hold title to property and make a name for themselves on their own, but a woman does not formally convey family rights to her offspring by virtue of being related to her. This has changed in super modern times, but it mattered a lot more in the feudal system of Europe.

It's really weird and arcane and not relevant to society today, but that's what our modern day system is based on. Technically, modern society is patriarchal.

The more accurate term for what Tate is describing is a "gynocracy." A gynocracy is a society centered on taking care of and privileging women. To that end, modern society is unquestionably focused on catering to women. Being a patriarchy and being a gynocracy are not mutually excusive. In fact, much of what the patriarchy was designed to do (when it works properly) actually has the side benefit of protecting women.

Just look at the basic definitions of the word:

Just use the USA as an example, which is less than 250 years old. It wasn't until 1900 that a woman could own land in her own name, which allowed her to vote. But it wasn't until 1920 when that women got "permission", a Constitutional Amendment, to vote.
Women needed to get "permission" to purchase a home in their own name. That didn't happen till 1974. It was also the first time a woman could have a credit card in their own name. The list is long.

Now, a woman's right to control her own body is being stripped away in many states across the USA. Her own body - does that sound like a Matriarchal Society to you? In other countries and cultures, it's been far more restrictive and remains so, in some.

I think some responders are greatly mistaking certain situation advantages for an overall dominance of power. I also notice that when men are held accountable for certain actions, they try to flip it into saying "I'm being persecuted"! If THAT isn't male privilege, not just in the USA but worldwide, I don't know WTF is!!!
