How to tell my family that I want to join the military?

My family is kind of between middle and high class in financial terms and both my parents are working and earn pretty well enough
In my country , we can join military in 2 ways
One is you can be an higher ranking "officer" and other is being a normal soldier

The test to be an officer involves too much talking and things I personally just can't do it, also my wish is to be the 2nd guy , that is, normal soldier
Now the problem is, in the 2nd case you are initially given the lowest rank in the military plus you will have very less salary and you are the person who must be ready to kill and die anytime for the nation..
So my parents can never willingly support me and let me take the 2nd option and from my experince you just can't win arguments with them also since you are living in their expense
So since I am 21, should I leave my home?

Whether they like it or not, ultimately it’s your choice. Don’t live w regret vato (Bubble boy). I was in the Marine Corps for 10 freaking years. Some of the best times ever, best damn friends like no other who would have died for each other just as I would for them. It taught me a lot. Made me appreciate things a lot more. Looked at things a lot different. Things in life that a lot of people struggle w seem to be walks in the park for me. Do what you feel is best. Maybe you’ll be a lifer, maybe not. But I guarantee you that whatever you do decide to do after, if you decide to get out, your military training will help you a lot. I don’t mean in the way of you being an infantry soldier utilizing your tactical skills in an office. I mean maybe you could incorporate that some how. But I mean your confidence, your tactful thinking, your calmness, your ability to evaluate a situation, etc.

Good for you... wanting to become a soldier and serve your country. You're old enough to make your own decisions. Just tell your family what you are doing and briefly explain why you want to do that. Some family members may support you, others may not.

They should respect your choice and your desire to serve our country. Just gather all of the pros & cons and tell (not ask ) them in a respectful manner.

You're 21, and at that age, in literally every country, you're a legal adult. So make you're own decision and join the military if that's what you want.
