desire higher paying careers , some want to get out of boring small towns/suburban areas before they get pregnant. a lot of younger women just tend to have more aspirations and life objectives than guys do and so going to college is one way to fulfil them

a lot choose careers like nursing and dental hygene which are college level programs and not a lot of guys choose those programs. so most colleges just the nursing and dental hygene students alone would give the impression there is more girls on campus
