The overlying culture from the founding through to the Socialist takeover starting really with FDR but taking hold in the 1960's was pretty positive (un-garbage). But like most empires, we have become decadent and apathetic and are likely at the end of your run. An armed uprising (I think is coming within 10 years) will likely recover some of it, but, like Yugoslavia, separations will come.

I see conservative unity forming in Flyover Country (the Farm Belt, underpopulated West and Bible Belt) forming the New American Patriotic Republic, and then extended Leftist City state regions; the Seattle to San Diego) and Boston to Washington Megalopolises), and the Midwestern Polygon of liberal cities like Memphis, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, etc.), taking place as a American Socialist Federation.

The ASF will be unable to feed itself and will rely on APR for Agriculture and mining, while providing technological products. Neither will want to conquer the other and rejoin, like exxes in a divorce. And better armed and self protective, the ASF would be incapable of moving in the APR anyway.

The APR will become increasingly isolationist, like Switzerland and the Norse countries restricting incursions including electronic. The ASF willl become like Continental western Europe.

American culture does not have a deep history, and despite this, it is full of absurdity and chaos.. There is no doubt that there is a culture, but it is debatable how rich this 'Murican culture is. *Laughs in European*

It's a consumerist one more than anything.  There's trashy parts of it, but it's inaccurate to describe it entirely as trash. There are rare good qualities.

Absolutely, it is just made up crap. The country has no culture, what i find rather baffling is why around the rest of the world people under 40 feel the need to copy the Americans
