Does America really have no culture?

Is it true that the USA has no culture? What does even culture mean?

Sort of. Culture develops over time. And it helps to be more homogeneous than the US. The country is not that old, and it has such a blend of cultures, that there is very little that can be considered truly American culture.

Most American culture came from other countries, especially Europe. The US is basically a European spin-off, with 95% of the same history.

There are a lot of American music styles. They evolved from other places, but they moved in an entirely new direction in the US. So there are many styles that are considered American. The jazz and blues age are very American and evolved into many different styles.

The car culture. This is not as true as it used to be. Americans are still into cars and individual freedom they give, but I don't think it's as much of a cultural icon like it was in the past.

Of course there is Hollywood, for better or worse.

Long road trips. Again, this is not as big as it used to be. The word "motel" is an American word from the days when lots of people went on long distance road trips. It's a big country with more places than you can explore in a lifetime. The lyrics of the patriotic song are, "From sea to shining sea". If someone hasn't done a cross country road trip, it's not possible to really understand what those lyrics mean.

Canada has some similarities, and for the same reasons. But for some reason, Central and South America developed a stronger culture than the US or Canada, even though they also evolved from European colonization.

Yes and no. America is a conglomeration of cultures, and has a bastardized language pulling from others. I mean, we do have our own way of doing things which you could say is having a culture, but very little of it is really original.

America does not have a specific culture but that's simply because there's so much diversity here and so many different cultures here that it's hard for any specific culture to be created as a whole country. If we were to give a specific culture to america it would probably be based off of capitalism, social media, and overabundance of products that usually go to waste.

There's lots of different cultures in America. We all have our own foods, clothing, etc. It's just like any other place in the world.
