Seems silly, but I can understand why from a business stand point. Also, Nexus has always deleted mods they deemed hateful/bigoted. The killable children mod is allowed, since it's a meme and the death animation, sfx, & vfx is not realistic. However, if there was amod sexualizing the kids or some shit, then it would get taken down.

Unless you've never modded Skyrim before - you're just exaggerating things here. The killing children mod is very unrealistic, has no correlations with political beliefs, and is a pretty well known meme. Also, it's not going to hurt it's business due to the fact it's such a meme.

The removal of LGBTQ flags could be seen as offensive to people from it, so it'd hurt their business. I agree that personally I wouldn't want that mod removed, but it's not the same as the killable children mod and it's smart to remove that mod from a business point of view.

It wasn't a meme yet and the audience was very different with it's expectations, since you're going off of first impressions when a game is released. For Nexus mods, it's audience is very difference, since you're having people coming in who are nerds who've already played the game and experienced with the modding scene.

Anyway, I agree it's annoying that the mod was taken down on a personal level, but a business isn't going to operate that way. They are going to try to appease to it's audience. It's why there's so many sexual mods for Skyrim, since that's a huge audience.

Mods are unofficial content and it is difficult to evaluate them. And that is why it is absurd to look for moral values and ethics in mods. It's good that they exist, and people who find such content offensive should continue to ingest ketamine.
