How can I get affordable auto insurance at my age because I was pulled over and luckily let go with a warning for no insurance?

I was pulled over today and the police man was extremely nice to me. He gave me a warning only and let me go. I don’t have auto insurance and I told him I wasn’t able to afford it.
I drive a 2019 VW beetle turbo so it’s a sports car. It isn’t really my fault because I get charged a ridiculous amount for car insurance.

Drive a clunker honestly. Are you under your parents policy? Your older parents could be the primary driver on paper of the nice car and get a fair price and you pay them. Official drivers classes might help a bit.

Find a national name brand insurance provider talk to them straight up. Try and talk to the face of that branch you should know with google and make an appointment with them. Say "I'm not a dumb kid, this machine is not a toy but my pride and joy and I'll do what is needed to get a fair price." Have your information ready and you know whats what you could be surprised how many cheats they pull to get away with. Still might be not enough until 25. Get ready for that.

Switch to liability and don’t get hit. The other suggestion was good too. Get a cheapo that can pass safety inspection.

Stop driving without insurance. Use public transportation or get a ride. Every time I used public transportation in the Midwest, shit has always been so underutilized. It’s lowers the efficiency of such a system if people are too inconvenienced to use it. I’m talking bus and train. I was impressed by New York City's subway system. Fast, on time, reliable, reasonably clean, surprisingly quiet, people mostly dicked around on their phones and didn’t talk to one another.

I once had pretty nice truck, and the insurance was very high. So I bought a piece of crap for $900, and told the insurance company was my primary vehicle. They cut my insurance in half.
Actually, the piece of crap car ran great because it was a fleet car from the govrnment. I bought it in an auction. Government fleet cars get maintained very well because the government has deep pockets.
